It is by far and away no secret that Hollywood compensation for a certain cadre of stars have been rocketing beyond the stratosphere for some time now, but one A-lister, in the form of Brad Pitt, says that the era of paychecks reaching into the tens of millions for some may be coming to a close.

Yeah, you're gonna want to buy the October issue of British Vogue — if only for Christa D'Souza's bewildered recollection of the one time Kristen Stewart opened up to her, a month before le scandale, during a Parisian smoke break: "'My God, I'm so in love with my boyfriend. I wish he was here now. I think I want to have his babies. God, I miss him. I love the way he smells. And him me. Like, he loves to lick under my armpits. I don't get this obsession with washing the smell off. That smell of someone you love. Don’t you think it’s the whole point?' Looking back, the exchange still feels surreal. It took place just three weeks before those incriminating pictures were allegedly taken. Was she even talking about Pattinson? Was she having on me? Who knows?" [Vogue UK via iSubscribe]
It's hard to believe that The Twilight Saga is coming to a close, four years and $2.5 billion and just one (!) world-shattering, tabloid-splattered cheating scandal later. Which means that the blink-and-you'll-miss-it final teaser for the last trailer for the second part of the final series-ending chapter is the last ridiculously sparse preview of a preview for Breaking Dawn - Part 2 we'll see. Sniff. Watch Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Co. get ready to rumble and pour one out for all 14 glorious seconds of the final Twilight teaser.

Don't tell David Koepp that scandal is good for box office.
The screenwriter (Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones: The Return of a Legend) and director of this week's Premium Rush told Movieline that speculation that the media scandal involving Kristen Stewart, her Twilight co-star and reported off-screen beau Robert Pattinson and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is somehow good for business is "a cynical response" to the situation. more »

If there were any concerns that recent personal dramas between Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would somehow sink the prospects for the final installment of the monolithic franchise, the title's Twitter handle appears to suggest otherwise. Distributor Summit Entertainment touted that The Twilight Saga's Twitter handle, @Twilight has reached 1 million followers. That milestone makes it the first-ever movie to reach that many people via the social networking site. The news comes as some good news for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 after reports over the weekend that the pic's stars will opt out of upcoming Twilight conventions.

It is Christmas in August when Summit Entertainment releases more photos from the final installment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn - Part 2. And it just so happens that one of the photos depicts Bella (Kristen Stewart), Jacob (Taylor Lautner) and Renesmee, the half-vampire progeny of Bella and Edward rocking around the Christmas tree with some, um, traditionally human appetizers. Apparently, the half human side of Suri, I mean, Renesmee still digs Ritz crackers and Hershey Christmas Kisses. I'm guessing the summer sausage is for Jacob. Okay, so enough about the holidays. Let's just get to the pictures, which you can find after the jump. Breaking Dawn Part 2, which reportedly will have at least one big plot surprise that does not follow the book from which its adapted, opens on Nov. 16.

Easier to admire than to love, David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis is an amplified, feverish vision of the one percent as scarcely human — not because of any innate maliciousness, but because they're so removed from the lives of the masses. They're like children who've already won a video game and now play carelessly, without any need to observe the rules. more »
Whether or not Robert Pattinson carries Cosmopolis to box-office glory this coming weekend, I hope he's around the movie business for a long time.
Unlike Kristen Stewart, who, I'm convinced, is Oscar material, Pattinson has yet to blow me away as an actor, but I do think he should win an award for the cheeky way in which he keeps showing us that contemporary celebrity journalism is a joke. more »

Twi-hards — and the media — have certainly been paying more attention to David Cronenberg since the filmmaker cast Robert Pattinson in his latest, Cosmopolis, but they shouldn't expect him to reciprocate. Movieline pal Grace Randolph caught The Fly director and his star on the red carpet at the New York premiere of Cosmopolis, where Cronenberg shrugged off the impact of Pattinson's reported break-up with his Twilight star Kristen Stewart.

Kicking off a media blitz of post-scandal promotion for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, Robert Pattinson taped his first one-on-one interview with Jon Stewart tonight, hit the film's NYC premiere, and is slated to appear Tuesday at the New York Stock Exchange to ring the Opening Bell. Folks familiar with the Don DeLillo book on which Cosmopolis is based, however, know that having financial prodigy/bored billionaire Eric Packer at the controls of America's financial infrastructure would be, in fact, a terrible idea. But anyway! RPattz alert!

Given author Stephenie Meyer's close connection to Summit's Twilight films (she came onboard to produce the final two films), the vampire saga has retained a firm sense of authenticity even as scripter Melissa Rosenberg has tweaked and added details to translate Meyer's vision for the big screen. But a new EW Breaking Dawn Part 2 preview teases a "pretty big shock" for fans expecting stark faithfulness to the series-ender. What could be more shocking than the all-out vampire/werewolf/baby-loving party that already is Breaking Dawn?
