You may look at this first photo from the set of Iron Man 3 and think, "Gee, Tony Stark has a lot of toys." I look at it — a shot of Robert Downey Jr. as Stark, gazing at his wall of Iron Man suits in a lab/Hall of Ego scattered with gadgets and gizmos aplenty — and remember I need to do laundry. Also, I need a bigger closet. Why does Tony Stark have so many wardrobe options?

Yep, it's happening. A week and change after finding their Dick Burton among True Blood's werewolf population, Lindsay Lohan and the makers of Lifetime's Liz & Dick have released the first production image from the romance-biopic. And, well... it's kind of shockingly classy. If you squint, LiLo and Grant Bowler actually kinda sorta look like the iconic couple. Anyone else pleasantly surprised?

Here is the first image from Sofia Coppola's forthcoming The Bling Ring, which features Emma Watson leading a cabal of young thieves to the rich and famous. Clearly she means business! Are those Lindsay's Lohan's shades? Megan Fox's shoes? Paris Hilton's Frappuccino?

Twilight fandom extends interest by association to every cast member's extra-Twilight projects, and sometimes that vampire bump pays off for relatives, too. Case in point: K-11, an intense-looking prison drama that's gotten considerable exposure from the fact that it's directed by Kristen Stewart's mother, Jules. (The erstwhile Bella Swan was also once attached to star in the film, which, watching this first look at K-11, would have been very interesting). Also: Goran Visnjic stars! Roll the promo.

Ron Burgundy and his team of crack news reporters are back for Anchorman 2, and they've already cut two teasers that tantalize with glimpses of what lies ahead: More bad clothes, more cheeky one-liners, and Will Ferrell's fine, fine mustache. Is "jean creamin'" the new "pants party?"

But nevermind the handsome, jaunty period stylings of 19th century France in turmoil as envisioned by Hooper; get an earful of Anne Hathaway's warbly voice singing a tearful rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream"... and sound off on her Fantine. Are you excited or worried, theater nerds?

The recently announced project set to feature Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs has revealed its first reported look at the actor in character as the late Apple co-founder — or at least wearing the standard black mock turtleneck, blue jeans and sneakers (Ascis, not Jobs's preferred New Balance, but whatever) so closely identified with the late Apple co-founder. As for the rest, I can't really see it. You?

It's a tough life being a Broadway standby — knowing a part backward and forward, exhibiting months, even years of patience while literally waiting in the wings for your chance to play the role you're backing up for the star of the show. On the bright side, at least now you'd have an entire film telling your story — one for which Movieline is pleased to present a first look ahead of The Standbys world premiere this weekend in New York.

Finally! Brian De Palma is getting out of the repugnant war-screed business pioneered in Redacted and back into the sexy-time homage-remake business with which he made his name. This time it's Passion, a thriller based on the late Alain Corneau's acclaimed 2010 French potboiler Love Crime and featuring Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace taking over for Kristen Scott Thomas and Ludivine Sagnier, respectively. In the first photo released from the film, the actresses do what comes naturally... to, uh, De Palma.

There's nothing terribly sensational here to get excited about in the first two official stills from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, except for -- ZOMG! -- a certain pair of blood-red vampire eyes staring out at us amidst the smoldering looks and pale prettiness on display. And the almost surreal perfection of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner's complexions. Fun fact: Twilight's vampires not only sparkle in the sunlight, they never have to blink. Hit the jump for images!

Posters are fine and all, but you can't really get too breathlessly caught up in a movie's hype until there are glimmering first images from the set. Especially when they feature one of the world's biggest stars in in all his 19th-century slave-baron resplendence wielding a hammer. And sucking nefariously on a smoke. Yes, Leonardo DiCaprio, come on in! I'll let you repair my morning.

It's been called the greatest rock musical ever made, the movie that launched Prince into the mainstream consciousness: 1984's Purple Rain. The semi-autobiographical story of a Minneapolis musician known as The Kid and his struggles with success, love, and an abusive father -- told as much through Prince's tortured swagger as through iconic chart-topping songs like "When Doves Cry" and the titular "Purple Rain" -- struck a chord with audiences and earned Prince an Oscar for Best Score to boot. But, as recounted in an exclusive excerpt from John Kenneth Muir's book Purple Rain: Music on Film, the film was headed for the rocks until neophyte director Albert Magnoli dared to tell Prince the truth about the film's initial script: "Well, I think it sucked."
