What if Prometheus had actually answered questions and had been more of a direct sequel to Ridley Scott's Alien films, instead of a maddeningly ambiguous but thought-provoking spin-off vaguely connected to the Alien universe? The existential crisis inherent to writer-director Rian Johnson's (Brick, Brothers Bloom) upcoming sci-fi time travel flick Looper is, itself, quite a pickle: Mob hitman Joseph Gordon-Levitt finds his latest target, sent back in time from the future for execution, is... himself. Technically the plot of Prometheus is still fairly unknown from the trailers and clips Fox has unleashed, at least insofar as what it is that befalls the intrepid space crew that ventures into unknown horrors in Ridley Scott's June sci-fi action thriller. But the latest TV spot seems to reveal an awful lot of said horrors — flashes of frights and things and scenes that seem to give good reason for that R rating — so watch at your own risk, because these 30 seconds are at once both awesome and a tad too revealing.

Everyone can agree that infographics are uber-cool and all that -- combining snazzy, geek t-shirt-ready design with movie science that your brain can't process on its own. (Are the criss-crossing timelines of Back to the Future III confusing? There's an infographic for that.) But is it the best idea to release a movie science-explaining infographic for a film that hasn't yet been released, as in the eye-pleasing-but-possibly-semi-spoilery art for Duncan Jones' Source Code?
