Jodie Foster Pens Open Letter To Kristen Stewart: 'This Too Shall Pass'

Jodie Foster Pens Open Letter To Kristen Stewart: 'This Too Shall Pass'

"Eventually this all passes. The public horrors of today eventually blow away. And, yes, you are changed by the awful wake of reckoning they leave behind. You trust less. You calculate your steps. You survive. Hopefully in the process you don’t lose your ability to throw your arms in the air again and spin in wild abandon. That is the ultimate F.U. and—finally—the most beautiful survival tool of all. Don’t let them take that away from you." [Daily Beast]

Kristen Stewart Moves Fast in New On the Road Trailer

Kristen Stewart Moves Fast in New On the Road Trailer

Kristen Stewart has been in the news a lot lately, but less so for her movies. But the latest international trailer for On the Road is out, so perhaps a small diversion is due. The film is the first real attempt to bring Jack Kerouac's legendary novel of the same title to screen, over 30 years after Francis Ford Coppola bought the rights to the book. Walter Salles directs the film, which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. On the Road stars Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, Kirsten Dunst and Sam Riley.

Elizabeth Olsen Praises Fifty Shades of Grey & Talks Rumors

Elizabeth Olsen has given her two cents and two thumbs up to Fifty Shades of Grey, the best-selling erotic drama by E.L. James that has been the subject of a flurry of Twitter and blog posts over the summer over who will (or should) be cast in the lead roles. But the Martha Marcy May Marlene star who is currently filming Very Good Girls and has a couple of other projects in post-production said that the novel is "kind of great" for helping its female base to embrace fantasies and to openly discuss their sexuality.

Kristen Stewart Will Lie Down in Darkness (Professionally Speaking, of Course!)

Kristen Stewart Will Lie Down in Darkness (Professionally Speaking, of Course!)

Finally, some news about Kristen Stewart that doesn't involve her love life. Vulture reports that the actress has landed the lead role of Peyton Loftis in Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper's adaptation of William Styron's 1951 novel, Lie Down in Darkness. The project — and the role — sure sound like the level of work that will propel Stewart toward that Oscar that I'm counting on her to win. The film is set in 1950s Virginia, and according to the site, Stewart's character's "intense physical beauty makes her the object of her frigid mother's jealous hatred and the target of her father's incestuous, alcoholic lust." Yikes! [Vulture]

Robert Pattinson Surfaces! (In Pics From Upcoming David Cronenberg Film, Cosmopolis)

Robert Pattinson Surfaces! (In Pics From Upcoming David Cronenberg Film, Cosmopolis)

Judging from the staying power of the Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders scandale, Robert Pattinson probably feels like he's on a Dante-esque limo ride through Hollywood hell right this very minute. Which means it's a perfect time to look at photos from his upcoming movie, Cosmopolis!

Joblo.com has posted exclusive pictures from the David Cronenberg-directed adaptation of Don DeLillo's, um, extreme 2003 novel about a billionaire asset manager whose chauffeured ride across Midtown Manhattan to get a haircut turns into a sex-and-death-punctuated journey of self-destruction. more »

Is Kristen Stewart Breaking Up with Robert Pattinson, or the Twilight Phenomenon, or Both?

Kristen Stewart Breakup

I should admit up front that I've long been skeptical of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's off-screen romance. They make a beautiful couple, as the Twilight franchise box-office numbers demonstrate, but, if you ask me, their real-life relationship has always had an odor of Hollywood hoodoo — the inspired idea of some marketing or public-relations executive who saw a way to keep fan interest in the blockbuster saga alive between movies. more »

Cheating, Apologetic Kristen Stewart 'Has Been Neutered'

Kristen Stewart Cheating

In the wake of the Kristen Stewart cheating bomb that dropped today, at least one PR pro thinks Stewart's subsequent apology stinks of forced reparations. Meanwhile, gossip maven Lainey Lui zeroes in on the repercussions of the Twilight star issuing such a perplexingly earnest-sounding mea culpa after years of fiercely protecting her private life from outside eyes: "Kristen Stewart has been neutered. She’s officially owned now. She belongs to them. And she belongs to us."

Needless to say, people have questions. What was she thinking? What exactly is going on in those car photos? Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner Give the Dish at Comic-Con

Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 Stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner Give the Dish at Comic-Con

Twilight has been credited with really putting Comic-Con on the map, or if it was on the map already, then it put the massive fanboy (and girl) genre-action-science-fiction-nerd-thriller-bonanza front and center in the mid-July pop culture consciousness. But now the franchise is complete, but the cast came out en force to promote the film (not that it should have much problem luring adoring audiences and their cash). At the event, Beyond The Trailer host Grace Randolph speaks with the stars including Taylor Lautner who gives his personal feelings about Jacob and Robert Pattinson who offers up his view on whether his character has redefined "prince charming." And of course, there's Kristen Stewart, aka Vampire Bella. The actress tells what she thinks about the un-dead version of her character and what she thought of her before reading Breaking Dawn. Randolph also speaks with Ashley Greene about villains, and looking quite the adorable young star, Mackenzie Randolph shares insight on Renesmee. Check out the latest Twilight goings-on from the red carpet…

Kristen Stewart Tops Forbes List of Highest Paid Actresses

And doesn't it make sense? With the final installment of the mega franchise coming out, how could there not be a ton of cash? Notes the publication, "At this point, could anyone else play Bella Swan in Twilight?" Good point! The publication, which dishes out the super rich and famous wealth numbers annually said Stewart made an estimated $12.5 million plus a share of the profits from the mega-franchise in her last two stints on Twilight, but she also made more cash via Snow White and the Huntsman this past year.

Fame Sucks, Kristen Stewart Edition

Kristen Stewart Vanity Fair

Twilight/Snow White and the Huntsman star Kristen Stewart comes off as admirably self-possessed ("I don’t care about the voracious, starving shit eaters who want to turn truth into shit") in Vanity Fair, even when bemoaning the photograph that changed her life: “You can Google my name and one of the first things that comes up is images of me sitting on my front porch smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and my dog. It was [taken] the day the movie came out. I was no one. I was a kid. I had just turned 18. In [the tabloids] the next day it was like I was a delinquent slimy idiot, whereas I’m kind of a weirdo, creative Valley Girl who smokes pot. Big deal. But that changed my daily life instantly. I didn’t go out in my underwear anymore.” [Vanity Fair]
