"For the man himself a modern cut of single breasted, two and three button Britishness. In context these costumes feel real. Silva’s (Javier Bardem) long leather coat might be a villain’s indulgence, but Bond looks immaculate and attainable; far from Savile Row though instilled with the swagger of 1960s cool. Even if Craig – here at his broadest – is in danger of bursting from the fabric on occasions, the vents always hang straight and providing he remembers to breathe in, the top button closes comfortably."
And: The stubble (and island casual outfit) say it all...
"Costume tells Bond’s tale just as much as the stubble that appears then disappears from his chin. Pre-credits he wears a grey sharkskin suit (actually ill-advised for Craig’s pale complexion), then hits the bottle in baggy leather flight jacket and untucked island shirt. For Bond this is as bad as Superman losing his cape – he is almost unrecognisable. Back in London, an unseen trip to Selfridges then stop off at Crockett & Jones and everything is okay again."

Daniel Craig may be on he heels of one of the most anticipated films of the Fall, but he's already looking ahead of 007 for his next gig. Craig said he's hoping to be a part of a follow-up installment to the English-language version of Stieg Larsson's trilogy, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, though at the moment there seems to be little movement for the second installment, The Girl Who Played with Fire.

I wonder how much pure willpower it takes for Daniel Craig to look as tirelessly cool and bad-ass as he does in every second so far of Skyfall, a Bond pic whose plot I have very little knowledge of despite all the ads, other than Javier Bardem is a blonde-wigged weirdo villain, 007 bags more exotic ladies in exotic locales, and he jumps onto exploding trains while nonchalantly adjusting his cufflinks. That cufflink move gets a lot of mileage. Watch two new exciting-but-not-terribly-expository spots from Skyfall and tell me I'm wrong.

James Bond is not going all emo on us. In a new Vanity Fair cover story on 007 actor Daniel Craig, the actor defends the tear his character shed over the death of the girlfriend who betrayed him, and says Bond is not getting soft. “He didn’t sob. There was, like, a tear in his eye. No snot coming out of his nose, you know,” Craig says in the magazine's November issue, which is out this month. more »
British super-crooner Adele confirmed via Twitter that she has recorded the theme for the upcoming James Bond installment, Skyfall. The Rolling in the Deep singer posted a photo of the song credits on her Twitter page. The confirmation comes after months of rumors she would lend her talented vocals to the Bond pic.
