Jane Lynch's Shot-for-Shot 'Vogue' Remake: Faithful to a Fault

David Fincher, you've been sweded. The director's iconic Madonna music video for "Vogue" was recreated shot-for-shot in a segment added to last night's return of the Fox songfest Glee, starring the show's Jane Lynch. It was...unexpectedly straight-faced!

Every Star Wars Geek on Earth to Appear in Stitched-Together Remake

The event has been coming for a while, and now it appears April 19 is officially D-Day for the fan-generated Star Wars Uncut. The project solicited 15-second clips from 472 amateur filmmakers around the Web, finally tying the pieces together in a kind of patchwork remake of George Lucas's original classic. No CGI Jabba the Hutt inserts, no revised battle scenes, no generally Lucasian BS -- just Lego Obi-Wan cut down by his archnemesis Lego Darth Vader, grown men in casual Wookiee wear, abstract cutaways of dogs, incompetent green-screen deployment, creatively used ladders and so, so much more. I call dibs on the frozen Han Solo sequence in the inevitable Empire Strikes Back Uncut sequel. Click through for the video.

Liz Taylor Marriage Gives Us One More Reason to Post Liz Taylor 'Marriage?!' Clip

Elizabeth Taylor deserves our congratulations today for two things: somehow not appearing on The Marriage Ref at all this season, and allegedly getting engaged to 49-year-old Jason Winters, manager to Janet Jackson. Said an "insider" to Us: "It's no secret that they've been together forever and are in love, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they were engaged." Sure, that sounds legit! Really, though, the best thing about this news is that it allows us to post the immortal Liz Taylor clip where the much-wedded actress is asked whether she would ever tie the knot again, and responds like a baby discovering she can make sounds. It is a joy. Happy Friday:

The Other Guys Trailer: Cop Out, But with Jokes

Stop me if this seems familiar: There's a new cop comedy coming out that pairs a loose-cannon SNL veteran with a growling, resentful partner in a semi-sendup of the 80's buddy comedy genre. Here's the difference, though, between Cop Out and Adam McKay's new Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg starrer The Other Guys: I actually laughed at the Other Guys trailer.

The Kids Are All Right Trailer: Annette and Julianne's Modern Family

You may remember that at Sundance this year, Movieline flipped for Lisa Cholodenko's comedy The Kids are All Right, which stars Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as lesbian parents, Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson as their children, Mark Ruffalo as their sperm donor, and Annette Benining's omnipresent glass of red wine as itself. So, what are we to make of this new trailer advertising the film?

Sex and the City 2 Trailer: Emirates State of Mind

Nothing says mainstream romantic comedy like the use of a past sell date pop song in the trailer. And since The Back-Up Plan has already co-opted Ke$ha's "Tik Tok" and Percy Jackson (yes, that Percy Jackson) has laid claim to Lady Gaga, what other song but "Empire State of Mind" could the trailer for Sex and the City 2 use to underscore all its glittery insanity and cast sojourn to Abu Dhabi? Yep, Abu Dhabi...

Which Deserves a Feature Adaptation More: Pixels or The Gift?

Two short films are making the rounds today, including Carl Erik Rinsch's The Gift, a Phillips-sponsored clip that has apparently sparked a huge Hollywood bidding war, and Pixels, which probably hasn't set the major studios aflame but is still delightful. We've enclosed both shorts and now we put it to you, the Movieline reader. Which would you rather see a feature film adaptation of: a charming, 8-bit invasion story with imagination and a sense of humor, or a megabudget short film about sexy Svedka robots and obtuse Macguffins, directed by Ridley Scott's son-in-law? Vote now!

Add Quentin Tarantino's Vega Brothers to the List of Movies That Are Never. Gonna. Happen.

And now an addendum to yesterday's hot-button item cataloging movies you keep hearing about but which are Never. Gonna. Happen: Today it's The Vega Brothers, the long-rumored Quentin Tarantino prequel explaining just how Vic (Michael Madsen) and Vincent (John Travolta) developed into the hardened sibling criminals we know and love from Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, Considering the respective 18- and 16-year-gaps between those films and today, however, a new approach is required. And guess what? Tarantino has it! Or so says Madsen in a video after the jump.

Michael Musto's The Hollywood Kid: Renner, Runaways, and the Juiciest Blind Items Yet

Movieline mainstay Michael Musto has really outdone himself in his latest video installment of The Hollywood Kid, digging for scoops on Sandra Bullock (not as innocent as she may seem), Jeremy Renner (not as homosexual as he may seem), and Paris Hilton (exactly as she seems). Then, get ready for a couple of jaw-dropping, Oscar-adjacent blind items, some of which are so scandalous that I can barely believe who they're about. Fortunately for you, the eternally helpful Mr. Musto has provided a couple of clues, as well as one total freebie. We eagerly await your guesses in the comments!

Things We All Know About Ellen DeGeneres: Hates America, Loves to Dance!

How do you know you've made it in Hollywood? When you have an entire category of Family Feud dedicated to things that are publicly known about you! Unfortunately for Ellen DeGeneres, this bit of flattery hit a rough patch when one of the contestants guessed something about Ellen that nearly ground the game to a halt.

'Look Out, Hollywood': Blind Side Star Seeks New Agent On Popular Gossip Site

I don't really pretend to understand how ever-evolving agency connections are made these days, but I'm pretty sure most Hollywood power brokers would frown on Quinton Aaron's approach to seeking new representation. The 6'8" other star of The Blind Side was ambushed by TMZ cameras while leaving a party, then asked point blank to confirm his recent departure from APA. "If you're with people who don't believe in you, your career ain't gonna go nowhere," Aaron said. Fair enough, but is this really the best place to be having this conversation? Especially one disclosing that Aaron still hasn't met the man he played in the film? Cringe along after the jump.

VIDEO: Why Yes, Glee's Matthew Morrison Did Breakdance on Oprah Today

This afternoon, self-professed Gleek Oprah Winfrey invited the cast of her favorite Fox musical program to her studio for a super-sized show. The cast dished on their amazing chemistry, took viewers behind-the-scenes of an upcoming episode featuring Neil Patrick Harris, then performed "Somebody to Love." Still, Oprah was not satisfied, because lead actor Matthew Morrison (aka "Mr. Schu") had not yet performed. So, on her command, Morrison removed his jacket and initiated an impromptu breakdance competition with co-star Harry Shum Jr. Evidence of the crime after the jump.

And please excuse the low quality video -- Movieline HQ's sophisticated video equipment died out of embarrassment as soon as Oprah cued "Gold Digger."

PSA Star Megan Fox Quits Teaching Career Before it Even Begins

A new Funny or Die video features Megan Fox and her boyfriend Brian Austin Green going to bat for the children of California. Sort of: It's kind of a "save our teachers" meets "save our schools" meets "Arnold Schwarzenegger hates your kids" meets comedy skit meets public service announcement that F.O.D. is increasingly known for -- except this one doesn't have the hot starlet mocking herself. Click through for the back story and the clip.

Cast and Crew of Mad Men Singing 'Bye Bye Birdie' Just As Awesome As You'd Hope

Here's the funniest thing you'll see all day: the cast and crew of Mad Men doing a spoof of the Ann-Margret classic, "Bye Bye Birdie." Apparently -- or at least according to the info section on its YouTube page -- the video was done for creator Matthew Weiner, likely at the end of season three. Things to take note of, beyond that shot of John Slattery in a ginger wig: the joy on the normally joyless face of January Jones; Jon Hamm cutting a rug; Rich Sommer (Harry Crane) possibly naked; and Elisabeth Moss fiddling with her Blackberry. Also: Robert Morse, looking as sprightly as ever. Watch after the jump and prepare to spend the rest the day with "Birdie" stuck in your head.
