WATCH: 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer & Photos − There Will Be Brooding, Too

WATCH: 'The Great Gatsby' Trailer & Photos − There Will Be Brooding, Too

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how the Baz Luhrmann's trailer for The Great Gatsby contained ample scenes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Jason Clarke screaming. Now, after sifting through more than 50 photos from the movie that Warner Bros. has released into the blogosphere and watching an exclusive trailer that the UK's Daily Mail has posted, I can also tell you that, amid all the Art Deco opulence and Roaring Twenties hedonism, there will be plenty of brooding, too. There must be a lot to think about.  more »

Jay-Z To Produce 'The Great Gatsby' Score

Jay-Z To Produce 'The Great Gatsby' Score

Come this time next year, could Jay-Z be up for an Oscar nomination? The rapper/record producer/entrepreneur is on board to help score the re-make of The Great Gatsby.

Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter, is teaming up with The Bullitts' Jeymes Samuel for the film's music, which Samuel revealed via Twitter. Samuel was clearly ecstatic over their pairing for the film, which stars Leonard DiCaprio and Isla Fisher, saying through the social networking site, "It is too DOPE for words!"

The younger brother of singer Seal, Samuel has left his mark on the music biz on singles Supercool, Landspeeder and Close Your Eyes. He has also written and directed the upcoming single They Die By Dawn starring Idris Elba.

This is not the first mash-up Jay-Z has had with Australian-born filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, who is directing the film based on the classic book by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Lurhmann used one of his songs for The Great Gatsby's first trailer.

Also starring Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke and Tobey Maguire, the story revolves around a Midwestern transplant to Long Island who becomes fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby and is drawn into his circle of obsession and tragedy.

The Great Gatsby opens in May.

Second 'Great Gatsby' Trailer: The Ballsiness Of Baz Luhrmann Compels You

Second 'Great Gatsby' Trailer: The Ballsiness Of Baz Luhrmann Compels You

Haters will inevitably hate on Baz Luhrmann and his anachronistic, super Baz Luhrmann-y big screen version of The Great Gatsby, but if I'm being honest it had me at the first trailer's reveal of Leonardo DiCaprio's Gatsby, dripping wet, staring bewildered lust-daggers of passion at Carey Mulligan's Daisy Buchanan*. Now we've got a second full trailer full of art deco razzle dazzle and brooding glances and Frank Ocean to pore over, so just go with it and let the Bazziness of it all wash over you like the bombastic lit-pop mashup that it is.

Man Caught Posing As A Pilot A La Catch Me If You Can

Man Caught Posing As A Pilot A La Catch Me If You Can

This is a case of life imitating art, or maybe just both going full circle. An Italian man took a cue from the 2002 Steven Spielberg film Catch Me if You Can starring Leonardo DiCaprio and donned a pilot's uniform, fake identification and gained access to at least one flight in a cockpit. Apparently the age of intense airport security failed to initially discover the faux-pilot, who posed under the pseudonym of "Andrea Sirlo" before being arrested at a bar in Turin Airport.
