WATCH: Gerard Butler Coaches Kids, Woos Soccer Moms in Playing For Keeps

WATCH: Gerard Butler Coaches Kids, Woos Soccer Moms in Playing For Keeps

It takes about ten seconds to guess how the latest Gerard Butler vehicle Playing for Keeps will most likely end (Is that Jessica Biel as Butler's harried ex, who still looks a bit mooney-eyed for her rascally baby daddy? And she's about to get married to someone else? A classic Rom-Com 101 recipe for love! ) but that won't stop the target demo from swooning come December 7. And let's be real: I will so watch this movie, predictable or not. more »

WATCH: Jessica Biel Talks Total Recall, Politics and Getting Her Action Hero On

WATCH: Jessica Biel Talks Total Recall, Politics and Getting Her Action Hero On

Jessica Biel likes to play her action heroes with a touch of femininity. Movieline pal Grace Randolph hit a special New York screening of Total Recall on Thursday night and chatted with the actress on the red carpet.  Biel plays the resistance fighter Melina and asked what quality she likes to bring to her action roles, tells Randolph that she aims to portray a character "who feels like a real woman,"  not "someone who's so tough that you can relate to [her] but someone who is feminine and has an emotional arc as well as a physical arc. more »

And Now, Darren Aronofsky Directs J. Lo In A Commercial For Kohl's

Darren Aronofsky directs J. Lo for Kohl's

When Darren Aronofsky directed a sumptuous Revlon commercial for mascara last year I called it his "least-daring work to date," but now comes a new project to trump that dubious accomplishment. Behold, the Oscar-nominated Black Swan director's gripping ad for Kohl's department store featuring J. Lo singing and dancing to a Kiki Dee cover song, a video that makes Jessica Biel plumping her lashes look like Requiem for a Dream.

Which Would You Rather (Not) See: New Year's Eve or Human Centipede 2?

In the brand new trailer for New Year's Eve, Garry Marshall's holiday-themed movie event that promises to give the phrase "ensemble romantic comedy" a bad name, Robert De Niro wonders what could possibly beat "New York on New Year's Eve." I'll tell you what: Not throwing all of your actorly credibility out the window confetti-style to appear alongside Zac Efron, Jon Bon Jovi and Ludacris in a movie that features Ashton Kutcher trapped in an elevator with the annoying girl from Glee. You know what other moviegoers might also consider better than seeing Garry Marshall's vision of NYC on New Year's Eve? Tom Six's Human Centipede 2, which inspires similar nausea but for different reasons.

Watch the Darren Aronofsky-Directed Revlon Ad Starring Jessica Biel and Pharrell

The good news: Jessica Biel got her chance to work with Oscar-nominated director Darren Aronofsky! The bad news: It was for a Revlon commercial about lash-plumping mascara. And, well, it's no Black Swan; now there's a movie that knew its way around a make-up brush. Watch Biel pout and bat her lashes in soft focus in Aronofsky's least-daring work to date after the jump.
