Looks like the Terminator has taken his dogged search for the mother of the future savior of mankind to the Twitterverse, where he's going through every Sarah on Twitter, one by one. (That is, when he's not telling the T-1000 to suck it in binary.) There's just one problem: The social media-savvy T-800 is looking for "Sarah Conner," not Sarah Connor. Oops! Proof he'll become obsolete soon enough? [@111001001101010]
Hurrah for Tweet-happy directors! Thanks to Adam Shankman (@adammshankman), we've got our first look at Catherine Zeta-Jones in character as the mayor's wife in Shankman's now-filming musical Rock of Ages, along with a glimpse of two retro rocker cameos you can expect to see in the film.

Talk of a fourth Evil Dead movie/Evil Dead remake has been around for a while, with little solid proof that the indie horror franchise would actually see new life. Until now: Following an online report that editor Bob Murawski was heading to Detroit to start working on the project, Bruce Campbell -- Ash himself -- has Tweeted confirmation that the project is on its way to fruition.

A tweet from the official Fox Searchlight Twitter account today brought to mind a surprising new target demographic for Terrence Malick's Cannes-winning Tree of Life in the Los Angeles area: "LA: Are you aware Arclight Hollywood showtimes for TREE OF LIFE include a 4:20 screening daily?" Just remember, weed and Tree of Life go together better than LSD and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Right, 2001 acid-freakout guy?

Writer Joe Hill (Heart-Shaped Box, Locke & Key) has sold adaptation rights to his short story Twittering from the Circus of the Dead, a horror tale told from the Tweets of a teenage girl as her road-tripping family runs across a zombie circus. Todd Lincoln (the forthcoming The Apparition) will direct from a script by Chris Borelli; sample Hill's tale, 140 words at a time, by following fictional heroine Blake Teller (@TYME2WASTE) on the Twitter. LOL ZOM (BIE) G! [THR]
In this summer's swashbuckling sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, British newcomer Sam Claflin goes toe to toe with Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and a much more fearsome pirate: Blackbeard (Ian McShane), the legendary captain of a zombie ship on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth. But while Claflin holds his own as idealistic young Philip Swift, the missionary who falls for a mermaid (Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey) and defies Blackbeard on pain of death, in real life he owes a debt of gratitude to the erstwhile Al Swearengen.

British newcomer Sam Claflin makes his Hollywood debut this month in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and he just landed the part of Kristen Stewart's prince in 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, so it's safe to say he's on the brink of a rapid star ascension. On Friday, the 24-year-old confirmed his Twitter handle to Movieline (@SamClaflin) and expressed genuine giddy surprise at his ever-growing follower count. Does he know what he's in for?

Say what you will about Lionsgate's slow trickle of a casting roll-out, or director Gary Ross and novelist Suzanne Collins' choices -- Elizabeth Banks might just be the most perfectly chosen member of the Hunger Games cast thus far. Tweeting today to confirm her official involvement, Banks' enthusiasm leaped off the Twitter page as she quoted her soon-to-be onscreen alter ego, Effie Trinket.

Sometimes Twitter flares up with a fun meme. One of them, #unnecessarysequels, is a Movieline favorite since it requires Tweeters to employ cinematic knowledge and wit. You can play it silly with Sophie's Choice 2: Electric Boogaloo or go conversational with I Recommend Taking the Tunnel Under the River Kwai. I have a sneaking suspicion that Movieline readers are funnier than most Twitter fiends, so here's your chance to contribute your most ribtickling sequels. Can you beat the ten best that we found and listed after the jump?

The entertainment industry has rallied en masse following some of the world's most devastating recent tragedies, organizing relief efforts for survivors of 9/11, the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia, Hurricane Katrina, and last year's earthquake in Haiti. The latter crisis alone prompted -- mere days after the disaster -- a star-studded charity telethon spearheaded by George Clooney and Wyclef Jean and which raised $57 million for the stricken nation. So why, in the wake of last week's 9.0 magnitude Japan earthquake -- and its resulting tsunami and nuclear crisis -- have we heard so little from Hollywood this time around?

Austin is a place that likes to think of itself as strange -- as in the city's motto, "Keep Austin Weird." But it really seems more nerdy than weird when the massive film-music-tech bonanza that is South by Southwest kicks off every year, drawing thousands of geeks of all stripes to congregate. And for the next week or so, Movieline will be among the crowds of geek illuminati reporting on film goings-on from the ground. Join us, with the magic of technology!

With the immortal words, "TWITTER- PRE PIMPHANDED GWYNETH PALTROW win," Glee's Kevin McHale ascended to the heights of slushie-proof popularity by posing in the hallways of McKinley High, prepared to do violence unto Gwyneth "Forget You" Paltrow as a horrified Heather Morris looked on in shock holding something resembling a fruit cup. Somehow we don't think McHale anticipated the unabashed glee (zing!) the world might get from the idea of slapping Oscar singing sensation Paltrow in the face, and here at Movieline we wouldn't condone violence to anyone, regardless of their relentless warblings on television shows, the CMAs, the Grammys, and the Academy Awards, but there you have it. Caption it after the jump!

It's time to face facts: Justin Bieber is the future. You may have resisted his viral ascent to YouTube glory, or rebuffed those confection-like hit singles as they attempted to infect your brain, but this week, as his biopic-rockumentary Never Say Never hits screens nationwide -- yes, documenting all 16 drama-filled years of this pop icon's life -- we will all fall prey to the epidemic of adorbs. Here's why you should just sit back and succumb to the Bieber Fever.
