Sean Penn As Vince Vega? Paul Calderon As Jules Winnfield? 'Pulp Fiction' Could Have Been So Different

Sean Penn As Vince Vega? Paul Calderon As Jules Winnfield? 'Pulp Fiction' Could Have Been So Different

Twenty years after John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, as Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, became arguably the most iconic hitman duo in contemporary cinema, it's hard to imagine any other actors tackling those roles — especially the Royale with Cheese conversation. But the new issue of Vanity Fair  serves as a reminder that their Pulp Fiction parts almost went to other actors.  more »

We Need To Talk About John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John's New Christmas Video (With Lyrics)

We Need To Talk About John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John's New Christmas Video (With Lyrics)

Hark! Christmas came early today, and in the form of a song delivered from on high by former Grease buddies and rockin' Xmas angels John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. In the video for the first holiday jam from their new joint album This Christmas, Travolta and O N-J hug and line-dance and drink hot cocoa while crying during It's A Wonderful Life, which is an actual line in the song and OH MY GOD I can't look away so just watch it now. (I took the liberty of transcribing the lyrics below. You're welcome.)

REVIEW: Blake Lively Lets Air and Light into Oliver Stone's Heavy-Handed Savages

REVIEW: Blake Lively Lets Air and Light into Oliver Stone's Heavy-Handed Savages

For the first three hours and 20 minutes, I was totally with Savages. During the middle two hours and 25 minutes, I was reasonably intrigued to see how it would all turn out. But through the final six hours and 48 minutes, I kept sneaking glances at my watch, just wishing that Oliver Stone would hurry up and cap off this wiggly-waggly tale of two marijuana-entrepreneur buddies, their shared girlfriend, and a host of Mexican drug baddies led by Salma Hayek wearing a black bobbed wig that’s half Cleopatra, half Bettie Page.

John Travolta Doesn't Understand How KFC Works

John Travolta Doesn't Understand How KFC Works

According to The Daily Mail, last Friday while in West Sussex, England for an annual Scientology event, John Travolta asked one of his reps to reserve a table at the local KFC for him and his guests. The KFC employee who answered the phone kindly explained to the actor's rep that fast food chains operate on a first come-first serve basis, even if the customer was John Travolta. Sadly, the actor never got his table or his fried chicken, instead going directly to a charity dinner. A spokesman for KFC has since released a statement about the Travolta debacle: "In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him. It's not every day you get a Hollywood star eating in your restaurant." [Daily Mail]

Barry Levinson and Al Pacino to Tackle Erotic Philip Roth Novel The Humbling

Barry Levinson and Al Pacino to Tackle Erotic Philip Roth Novel The Humbling

Not to worry, Barry Levinson's still hard at work hammering that Gotti: Three Generations biopic into something that's starting to kinda-sorta resemble The Godfather, depending on how much you buy into Levinson's hype. But first, Deadline reports, Levinson and Gotti co-star Al Pacino (who most recently teamed up on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning You Don't Know Jack) will film their adaptation of Philip Roth's 2009 erotically-tinged novel The Humbling. Cue the sexy sexagenarian shenanigans!

Barry Levinson continues to surprise us here at Movieline HQ! Yes, that Gotti biopic. After the jump, discuss what this means for all involved.
