WATCH: Jim Carrey Looks Masked And Uncomfortable As Colonel Stars On Toronto Set Of Kick-Ass 2

WATCH: Jim Carrey Looks Masked And Uncomfortable As Colonel Stars On Toronto Set Of Kick-Ass 2

Is it me or does Jim Carrey look like he's dying a thousand deaths in the video below as he kills time on the set of Kick-Ass 2 in Toronto looking like the result of a night of passion between the Riddler's mom and Sgt. Rock. That actually could be a good thing since stand-up comics, which Carrey was before he became an ac-tor,  are great at converting humiliation and flop sweat into moments of brutal and dark comic brilliance — a tone that certainly worked for the first Kick-Ass movie. more »

Anna Karenina Teases High Society Sexual Scandal

Keira Knightley stars as Anna in Joe Wright’s ANNA KARENINA, a Focus Features release.Credit: Laurie Sparham

Fittingly lavish, new images from Anna Karenina, the splendor of imperial Russia is merely the backdrop for a scandalous love affair. But strict rules and mores adhered to (and then broken) by high society have long been enticing setting for 99 per centers (and their friends) throughout the ages to witness aristocratic crash and burns through fleshly indulgences. And the screen version of Leo Tolstoy's novel appears to not hold back.

REVIEW: Blake Lively Lets Air and Light into Oliver Stone's Heavy-Handed Savages

REVIEW: Blake Lively Lets Air and Light into Oliver Stone's Heavy-Handed Savages

For the first three hours and 20 minutes, I was totally with Savages. During the middle two hours and 25 minutes, I was reasonably intrigued to see how it would all turn out. But through the final six hours and 48 minutes, I kept sneaking glances at my watch, just wishing that Oliver Stone would hurry up and cap off this wiggly-waggly tale of two marijuana-entrepreneur buddies, their shared girlfriend, and a host of Mexican drug baddies led by Salma Hayek wearing a black bobbed wig that’s half Cleopatra, half Bettie Page.

Kick-Ass Sequel 'Keeps Standard' of the First: Aaron Johnson

Kick-Ass Sequel 'Keeps Standard' of the First: Aaron Johnson

The Kick-Ass sequel was a forgone conclusion but speculation mounted on when it would occur and if its stars including Aaron Johnson would take part. But all turned out fine and Jeff Wadlow will direct from his script, a follow up to the original that debuted at SXSW back in 2010 that went on to gross $103M at the box office worldwide. That's a lot of ass-kicking! Star Aaron Johnson told Collider that he's seen the script and it shouldn't disappoint.

TRAILER: Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson Just Want Their Girlfriend Back in Oliver Stone's Savages

Savages

Why would a Berkeley grad weed dealer and his ex-Navy SEAL partner take on a Mexican cartel who wants in on their business? To get their kidnapped shared girlfriend back, of course! Since said shared girlfriend is Blake Lively, I can understand why Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch would risk life and limb to fight off Salma Hayek's gun-wielding goons. I'm not quite as sold on why Oliver Stone would make a movie like this, but after watching the trailer for Savages, hell -- I'm in.

Matthew Vaughn Has Eyjafjallajökull to Thank for X-Men: First Class Directing Gig

Matthew Vaughn Has Eyjafjallajökull to Thank for X-Men: First Class Directing Gig

When X-Men: First Class producer Bryan Singer was looking for a director to take the helm of the X-Men franchise, he had "hundreds of names" on his list of candidates for the gig - but Matthew Vaughn wasn't initially one of them. And then a little volcano with an unpronounceable name grounded cross-Atlantic flights, leading to a chance meeting between Singer and Vaughn facilitated by none other than Vaughn's Kick-Ass star, Aaron Johnson.
