Dinner for Schmucks Trailer: Paul Rudd Hates Steve Carell, But Not Too Much

Americanization! Here we have the trailer for Jay Roach's Dinner for Schmucks, which is the English-language remake of Francis Veber's 1998 French comedy The Dinner Game. The differences between the two -- and the apparent softening of the new film -- are instructive.

4.3.2.1 Trailer Promises the Year's Best Emma Roberts Lesbian Diamond Heist Flick

I'm a little late getting to this extraordinary trailer for the thriller 4.3.2.1, which, at a glance, seems to be much more of a British phenomenon than anything Americans would get too carried away with. But a closer look reveals a number of factors that make the new film by young U.K. actor/writer/director Noel Clarke an international breakthrough waiting to happen. I mean, how can you say no to a movie promising lipstick lesbians, a diamond heist, Emma Roberts threatening to kill someone and Kevin Smith -- on an airplane! -- all in one insane place? Click through for the mildly NSFW goods.

I Am Love Trailer: Tilda Swinton at Full-Throttle Fierceness

The trailer is out now for Tilda Swinton's festival stunner I Am Love, which you may remember was the subject of our conversation with her back at Sundance (that is, when we weren't talking about Conan O'Brien). It's ravishing and totally incomprehensible -- just like the film!

Introducing Evan Lysacek, Actor

As anyone who's caught Kerri Strug's softcore erotic thrillers can attest, becoming an Olympic champion doesn't automatically confer acting chops. Here then, is a delightful exception, a short film that features figure skating gold medalist and Dancing with Stars contender Evan Lysacek as "Vladimir Plushenko" (certainly not based in any way on his rival, Evgeni Plushenko). As you'll see, Lysacek ably demonstrates his range, acting in an accent other than his own and a skin color other than his native tangerine. If he could simply fake an orgasm at a level half as convincing as Johnny Weir, we could crown ourselves a new champ. Video, after the jump:

Twelve Trailer: This is Joel Schumacher. This is Joel Schumacher's Movie on Drugs

Whoo boy, you guys. Indie upstart Hannover House has released a three-minute (!) trailer for the Joel Schumacher drugs-and-rich-kids drama Twelve, which was hissed at during its Sundance debut but at least stars actors with a certain amount of teen cachet, like Chace Crawford and Emma Roberts. Naturally, the best time to release a movie with them is opposite The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. In the clip, you'll see several of Movieline's twelve things wrong with Twelve, and you even get a glimpse of PC Peterson, premature ejaculator. (Between his cameo and Kim Zolciak's stint as a featured extra in the upcoming The Joneses, it's a good time to be a moonlighting Bravo star!).

Attack of the Clones Eviscerated by Famous Phantom Menace Hater

We've introduced you before to Mike of Milwaukee, the internet critic that made something that could have been awful -- a 7-part, 70-minute video series on the failings of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace -- into something like a cathartic work of art. Naturally, it was only matter of time before Mike turned his knives on Attack of the Clones, and if you can skip past the unnecessary live-action interludes that allude to Mike's propensity to chop up women (stick to what works, Mike!), it's another keeper. Are we the only ones who picture Barth from You Can't Do That On Television when listening to these? [via Hollywood Elsewhere]

All nine parts are after the jump:

Splice Trailer: Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley Make a Murderous Baby Together

"Hey, there's a new Splice trailer," I said today to my Movieline comrade-in-arms, who had caught the film back at Sundance. "That movie is f***ing disgusting," he replied. Between that recommendation and this clip, I think I'm starting to get excited.

Drink Up with this Exclusive Clip from The Good Heart, Starring Brian Cox and Paul Dano

It's the end of the week and you're ready for a drink, no? Still, it's a bit early in the day, so why don't you get your alcohol-related ya-yas out via Movieline's exclusive clip from The Good Heart, released today on video-on-demand and in theaters on April 30. It's a fitting introduction to the dive bar that's the focus of the film, a gritty place owned by Jacques (Brian Cox), who's grooming the homeless Lucas (Paul Dano) to take it over. You'll learn the rules of this particular establishment: dogs are permitted (as long as they can hold their own in a staring contest), but new customers are not, especially when they're looking for organic ingredients in their Bloody Marys. You've been warned!

Movieline's Hollywood Kid Michael Musto Wants to Play 'Guess Who, Don't Sue'

You know you love to puzzle out a good blind item, and in the second video installment of Movieline's The Hollywood Kid, Michael Musto is happy to oblige. After sharing his thoughts on Angelina Jolie in Maleficent and Carey Mulligan in My Fair Lady, Musto brings back the classic Movieline feature "Guess Who, Don't Sue." Directors with rent boys! Pot-smoking blactresses! Can you decode these blind items? (No really, can you? We'll be perusing the comments for your answers.)

Get Miserable, Everybody: New Trailer For Todd Solondz's Life During Wartime

Admittedly, Life During Wartime's U.K. trailer -- its first overall -- is coming at you a little tardy after first making its rounds late Wednesday. But the truth is that every Movieliner but me fell ill with misanthropy after more than a few minutes contemplating Todd Solondz's latest, and I'm only now getting to the updated file on misery-cinema's Patient Zero. And what have we here? Well, it involves people being cruel, clearly. And talk of China. And... it's quite possibly terminal.

New A-Team Trailer Increases Nostalgia Factor by Roughly 300%

Remember the A-Team teaser from a couple months ago? The one introducing us to the revival of the beloved '80s-TV mercenaries, adapted to slicker, more contemporary and/or insanely expensive action-film tropes? If so, the new trailer that premiered this morning will help flesh out the dimensions of that nostalgia trip. If not, you're in for a treat! A bombastic, plotless, oversharing treat, but a delicious one nevertheless.

Clash of the Titans Premiere: Worthington on Dracula, Hamlin on Worthington, and Much More

Last night, Movieline's intrepid red carpet correspondent Carly Steel hit up the premiere of Clash of the Titans, and while she wasn't able to talk to any Kraken (once you release those buggers, they never show up where you want them), she did interrogate a host of stars including Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danny Huston, and original Titans star Harry Hamlin. Watch in the video below as Worthington states his intentions to get a new Dracula project off the ground, and Hamlin very graciously handles a jab from Worthington about how Hamlin's original take on the role was too fey. (Sam, you'd be lucky to turn into the silver fox Harry Hamlin has apparently become.)

Salt Trailer: Angelina Jolie in Bourne With Hair Dye

Forget Bruce Willis and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. If Sylvester Stallone really wanted to get people excited for The Expendables, he would have found room for Angelina Jolie. If you count Gone in 60 Seconds (and really, why wouldn't you?) she's been a major selling point in four $100 million-plus summer blockbusters since 2000. And judging from the new trailer for Salt, Jolie will add another to the list come Labor Day. When did she become one of the most bankable action stars in Hollywood?

California Governor Cameos in New Expendables Trailer

So let's say you're Arnold Schwarzenegger. You're the governor of California, a state suffering from an unprecedentedly upside-down economy and mass panic about jobs, education, home foreclosures and the like. You're also one of the most celebrated action stars of the last half-century, invited by one of your hallowed peers to join him in the Tough-Guy Epic to end all Tough-Guy Epics (at least until the sequel). Do you politely decline the offer, opting instead to focus on your policy and governing responsibilities at home, where they're most needed? Or do you take a few days to join the Tough-Guy Epic abroad and secure your cinematic legacy? Come on! As the new Expendables trailer proves, that's an easy one.
