Word hit this week that Orson Welles' famous lost, unseen film The Other Side of the Wind might finally see the light of day soon. It sounds like great news; people close to the production and who have seen footage say that Welles' final film, which stars John Huston as a controlling director, is a potential masterpiece. Now, however, Welles' former partner (and current rights-holder) Oja Kodar has said that resolution is no closer. And actually, we've heard all this before -- several times, in fact, often via director and one-time Welles confidante Peter Bogdanovich, who has spent years fighting for the film's release. Ultimately the film's troubled history spans more than 40 years and includes a wide assortment of financial woes, legal battles, estate squabbles and even the Iranian Revolution. This calls for a timeline.

Based on the trailer, Jackass 3.5 looks like it delves into Dada expression a bit more elegantly than Jackass and Jackass 3-D, but does not quite reach the go-for-broke verve of Jackass 2. The aesthetics here indicate...nah, just kidding. As promised, Jackass 3.5, made up of leftover footage from Jackass 3-D, will premiere on your internet on April 1. If this excites you, then you should probably watch the first trailer.

Sundance is winding down, but news of acquisitions is still trickling in. In today's batch of films, you'll find the latest documentary from Man on Wire director James Marsh, an urban coming-of-age drama and Pierce Brosnan as a charismatic pastor. Oh right, and Greg Kinnear as an ex-Deadhead.

Here comes more middle-age malaise, this time with a talking dog and Christopher Plummer as a father who comes out of the closet after 44 years of marriage. Ewan McGregor is trying to sort it all out, and he's also just met a beautiful girl played by the lovely Mélanie Laurent from Inglorious Basterds. Cheer up, buddy! I have a feeling everything's going to be alright.

· Lego renderings are intrinsically cute, but rarely are they this provocative. Look at the pain in Lego Hiker's eyes as he realizes his arm is caught underneath a beige lego boulder. Devastating. The Inception Legos are also dreamy. [Gawker]

Although it wasn't quite as universally panned as Dito Montiel's Son of No One, and no one lost it and shouted at the filmmakers in a post-screening rant, Mark Pellington's dark bromantic thriller I Melt with You was the most controversially-received film at this year's Sundance Film Festival to land a distribution deal. (Read Movieline's assessment of the film and its disastrous first screening.) Hours after it was announced that Magnolia Pictures would release the polarizing film, Movieline caught up with Pellington and screenwriter Glenn Porter to discuss how they've been processing the negative reviews, how the deal with Magnolia went down, and what kind of tweaks will be made to the film before its theatrical release.

Apparently Charlie Sheen did not get Movieline's Enough, Already memo. While Sheen's co-star Jon Cryer regaled television audiences with tales of Sheen's porn star-laced exploits on last night's Conan, the troubled CBS star was midway through a 36 hour bender that would top any of his previous adventures -- hotel rampage and Christmas knife-play included. Details of Sheen's latest party outlined below.

As reported, Will Ferrell will be appearing on The Office in a multiple episode arc later this season to bridge the gap after Steve Carell departs. It may be surprising that Ferrell would agree to do such a high profile television project considering his busy film career, but as evidenced in the clips ahead, Ferrell has been the go-to-guy for television guest appearances and uncredited movie cameos over the last few years. Actually, a pretty good case can be made that the characters he plays in his shorter appearances are better than a lot of his feature length roles. (Ron Burgundy aside). Let's take a brief look at Will Ferrell's lesser-known, but much more surprising characters.

The new Anthony Hopkins exorcism thriller The Rite may be a work of fiction, but it was inspired by the real life experiences of Father Gary Thomas, an American priest who studied under a master exorcist in Rome and became the subject of Matt Baglio's book The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist. Naturally, Movieline seized the chance to ask the energetic Father Gary to play film critic and weigh in on eight possession horror classics, from The Exorcist to Paranormal Activity to Tim Burton's classic comedy about a lovable "bio-exorcist."

Comedian Marc Maron -- whose WTF podcast has become popular enough to draw celebrities like Ben Stiller, Judd Apatow, Louis CK and, possibly soon, Conan O'Brien -- experienced his first walkout today: "Gallagher just threw the mic down and stormed out of my hotel room," Maron wrote on Twitter, referring to the watermelon-smashing comic. "I got about a half hour. Very defensive. I guess if you call bullsh*t on him there is no debate. He just storms off like a child." Maron says he will air the half hour that was recorded, as long as the sound is good. As for about his equipment, don't worry: "The mic is fine. Thanks for the concern." [@marcmaron]
