Fox has released the first substantial clip (as opposed to those 20 annoying three-second snippets designed to drive you insane) from Terrence Malick's anticipated summer drama The Tree of Life. More important than fancy suits, dinosaurs and beautiful cinematography that verges on the pretentious, the film appears to promise serious oedipal conflict. Watch out, Brad Pitt!

Once in a great while a movie comes along that leaves you forever changed. Will the tongue-in-cheek (and in-other places) neo-noir The Big Bang be such a movie? In three new clips, watch private dick Antonio Banderas as he learns dirty porn secrets from XXX director Snoop Dogg, meets James Van Der Beek and his "albino little person" companion, and engages maybe-crazy mad scientist Sam Elliott in a conversation about dropping acid, physics, and God's "magic wand." Right!

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment today announced its acquisition of the film-centric social media site Flixster and its review-aggregating subsidiary Rotten Tomatoes. "Driving the growth of digital ownership is a central, strategic focus for Warner Bros.," Warners video boss Kevin Tsujihara said in a statement. "The acquisition of Flixster will allow us to advance that strategy and promote initiatives that will help grow digital ownership." In other words, the DVD/Blu-ray market is slowly suffocating, that Dark Knight-on-Facebook thing kinda came and went, and Friendster shut down before they could get it on the cheap. But what does it mean for you and the movies?

Leave it to Roland Emmerich to make a film about how William Shakespeare actually didn't write any of the masterpieces he wrote. That's the premise for Anonymous, which posits that Shakespeare was actually a fraud. Like the trailer -- which featured precious little mountain crumbling -- the new poster for the film keeps thing decidedly mysterious and sorta subtle. Might this be the least excessive film from the king of excess ever? Click ahead for a first look.

Now, I will go bananas over some OPI special edition nail polishes; why, with cleverly punny names like "Skull and Glossbones," even Captain Jack Sparrow himself would rock some silver crackle polish on his grubby pirate claws. Probably. But who in the world is gonna drop hundreds on designer purses, scarves, and jewelry merchandising tie-ins to Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides?
