Harry Potter star (or, as Saturday Night Live's Jason Sudeikis dubs him below, "Sex Wizard") Daniel Radcliffe will step up to host SNL this Saturday, so to prepare for the big night he and Sudeikis shot a promo video teasing the hilarity to come. "Are you doing a character? Like a chimney sweep?" Sudeikis asks upon hearing Radcliffe speak. "Can you do an American accent?" Internet, please react: A highbrow cult phenomenon is being ramped up for mainstream audiences. This is your time to shine! According to Variety, Harry Potter director David Yates is teaming with the BBC Worldwide to turn Doctor Who, the monumental British science-fiction series, into a big screen franchise. Said Yates of the new project, "We're looking at writers now. We're going to spend two to three years to get it right. It needs quite a radical transformation to take it into the bigger arena." This weekend, most of the Harry Potter cast and filmmakers flew down to Universal Orlando's Wizarding World of Harry Potter to fête the home release of Deathly Hallows -- Part 2, the final installment in the film series based on J.K. Rowling's beloved books. At a Potter-themed party in Hogsmeade Village Saturday night -- complete with a performance by the frog choir, endless rounds of butter beer served by wizards and fireworks -- franchise star Rupert Grint took a moment to play a round of 'My Favorite Scene' with Movieline.

Jamie Waylett, the 22-year-old actor who played Crabbe the bully in the Harry Potter films, was arrested last month after stealing champagne from a U.K. drug store during the London riots while in possession of a gasoline bomb. After reviewing security footage, cops identified Waylett and arrested him on September 20, at which point authorities discovered 15 marijuana plants in his home. The actor has been charged with "violent disorder, having an article with intent to destroy or damage property, receiving stolen goods and also cultivating cannabis plants," which makes that Twilight kid's Four Loko incident seem like child's play.
