Twenty four-year-old Lyndsy Fonseca has been familiar to television fans since her days on The Young and the Restless (she also appeared on Boston Public, Big Love, Desperate Housewives, and as Ted Mosby's future daughter on How I Met Your Mother) but she made herself known in fierce fashion last fall as Maggie Q's cunning and loyal protégé, Alex, on The CW's lady spy series Nikita. This week Fonseca adds to her growing film slate with a turn in John Carpenter's The Ward, a '60s-set psychological horror tale also filled with complex female relationships, themes of survival, and endless twists and turns.

Community earned a lot of buzz in its first season on the air, but there's still a lot of people who have yet to discover it, and Joel McHale met almost all of those people on the red carpet for the Chopard pre-Emmy bash in Los Angeles last weekend (among the odd questions he had to field: "Growing up, did you prefer the Backstreet Boys or N Sync?"). Needless to say, he was happy to actually talk about the show to Movieline, and dished on the cast's recent Comic-Con sojourn, guest star Betty White, and his favorite unaired pilot.

Maybe Fox canceled the Terra Nova Comic-Con panel because they knew they could just do another one next summer. Today, the network announced that Steven Spielberg's dinosaur time travel series had been bumped from a planned January start to fall 2011. Still, those hoping for an early peek should keep next May open -- as they did with Glee Fox will air a preview of the series during sweeps week. [Deadline]
