What's even more inevitable than another iteration of the Law & Order franchise? Another spoof movie from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo who've turned what really should have been three-minute Funny or Die videos into the feature-length Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and Date Movie. Their latest is Vampires Suck (but how will I know that it's a spoof if it isn't called Vampire Movie?), and the very first joke of the trailer is directly ripped off from Twilight with Cheeseburgers, so you know we're in good hands here.

So everyone's gotten over yesterday's Inception hype and has apparently moved on to something smaller called Life in a Day -- a collaboration between directors Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald that will comprise a bundle of user-generated clips shot and uploaded to YouTube on July 24. The finished product will premiere next January at the Sundance Film Festival. Today's PR blitz calls Life the "first user-generated feature-length documentary film shot on a single day" and a "historic global film experiment." Which wouldn't be so off-base -- if it were true.

Michael Bay has officially started the Transformers 3 release-date countdown on his Web site -- which, in the grand scheme of things, is not nearly as important as the reality of seeing just how unglamorous megabudget filmmaking can sometimes be. Take this video that began making the rounds over the holiday weekend, featuring some blue screen, some hydraulics, a pop and a scream. Watch 44 seconds of your summer sausage being made after the jump.

Our lusty friends over at New Sensations have been dutifully cranking out porn parodies of TV show after TV show, but with a few exceptions (Tina Fey's glancing meta-reference of the 30 Rock porno comes to mind), the properties covered tend to ignore the Sensations crew's (ahem) hard work. Leave it to Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant from Reno 911 to fix that.

Though she had a small supporting role in the jam-packed Valentine's Day, Julia Robert hasn't had a starring role since her (actually-quite-good) bomb Duplicity. But J.Ro is back with the film adaptation of the smash book Eat, Pray, Love, and Sony has released another trailer for the likely hit. So what's on the menu for Julia's this time?

Last week, our Michael Musto had a hell of a time finding people who paid money to see Knight and Day, but you can trust that for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (with its massive, record-breaking haul), his mission was a little easier. One alarming discovery: The fanbase for Team Jacob has swelled enormously, while the Team Edward ranks can claim few besides a lascivious cougar in a straw hat. Check out his findings below:

In a world where the theatrical distribution window is shrinking, how about a movie that's out on demand before it gets into theaters? Movieline's got an exclusive featurette from The Oxford Murders, an Elijah Wood/John Hurt murder mystery that comes out today on VOD, Xbox Live, Playstation, Amazon and Vudu, though it opens in theaters August 6.

Andrew Garfield flew to Cancun this week expecting simply to promote The Social Network at a Sony media summit. Instead, he was told that he'd nabbed the ultra-coveted role of Spider-Man -- then, still reeling (and struggling to rehearse the deceptively simple introduction, "Hey guys, how's it going"), the 26-year-old Brit was hurried to a press conference for an announcement. This is what happened behind the scenes:

Folks, let's face it: There's only one movie that really matters this summer. And you'd better believe a lot of moviegoers are totally fine doing exactly that. But what exactly are they seeing, anyway? In her latest video review, Movieline's chief film critic Stephanie Zacharek breaks down the new Twilight blockbuster. Click through and join the party.

Fans of the original Let the Right One In -- of which there are many around the Internet -- were justifiably upset when they heard that Tomas Alfredson's beloved and moody adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel was being remade for American audiences with Matt Reeves (a.k.a. the guy who did Cloverfield) as the director. But the international trailer for Let Me In -- America likes short titles! -- has arrived and it confirms two things: Reeves was very, very faithful to Alfredson's original, and Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz does, in fact, kick ass.

In her confirmation hearings this week, Supreme Court hopeful Elena Kagan has presented herself as an even-handed and experienced arbiter of our nation's Constitution. And while we may know slightly more about her judicial point of view on such delicate social issues as abortion and gay marriage, only today did Kagan face the most important, polarizing question to date: Team Jacob or Team Edward? Video after the jump.

A day after Batman 3 and Salt received their own real-life viral-marketing boosts, have a look at this 13-year-old in England trying to pass himself off as anything but some wall-climbing, vacuum-pad-rocking allusion to Sony's forthcoming Spider-Man reboot. Don't confuse this with James Franco's own viral adventures, which have nothing on this clip that races from WTF to hilarious back to WTF in 60 seconds flat. This kid is walking on a wall, people. Marc Webb, we have found your leading man.

Say what you will about Paranormal Activity, but that film had one of the marketing materials of any film in the last few years: An expertly cut trailer that made audiences simultaneously think of The Blair Witch Project and demand that they get to see what all the fuss was about. Things look to be about status quo with in the trailer for the rushed through production sequel if only because -- how can I put this? -- it still looks scary as sh*t. You'll probably want to cover your eyes right about now.
