Watch James Franco Give an Ape a 'Time Out' in Rise of the Planet of the Apes U.K. Trailer

If you've been finding the trailers for Rise of the Planet of the Apes as delightfully cheesy -- with James Franco's super-serious scientist speak and apes in bootleg jeans defending John Lithgow's honor on suburban street corners -- as I have, you are going to love the UK trailer for Rupert Wyatt's sci-fi thriller. Trust me. James Franco teaches an ape how to sign, takes him hiking, and then assigns him a time out when he acts up.

VIDEO: Tom Hanks Dances On Univision, Better Than Any Trailer for Larry Crowne

Despite being headlined by A-list stars Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, Larry Crowne seems like a bit of a tough sell. After all, it's a recession-tinged comedy-drama-romance about a guy who loses his job and goes to community college to put his life back together. Good times! Or something. Thus far, the trailers for Crowne have been of the "show, show more" variety, but perhaps Universal can just use this video of Tom Hanks interacting and dancing (!) with the hosts of the Univision show Despierta America for future spots, if only because it's awesome. Click through to watch.

VIDEO: (Delgo + Yogi Bear) x King Kong = The Great Bear

So there's this animated Danish movie called The Great Bear that has been quietly making the festival rounds. I only today accidentally discovered the trailer, whose accompanying synopsis promises quite the story. But it's the animation itself that has me wondering what kind of legend The Great Bear has in store for it.

The Tracy Morgan Apology Video: A Cinematic Tour-De-Force All Its Own

Tracy Morgan joined with GLAAD in Nashville, Tenn. to apologize for comments he made in a standup act where he cracked famous jokes such as, "I will stab my son in the head if he is gay." Video of the apology is as straight-faced as you'd expect, and therefore the footage is cinematic in a grim, '70s way.

VIDEO: Green Lantern Meets a Fate Worse Than Flopdom

At least until the requisite Taiwanese news animation of Green Lantern's hobbled opening-weekend run, Conan O'Brien's analysis from Monday night should do the trick. To wit, learn more about the allegation that Warner Bros. never planned a sequel for the megabudget comics adaptation.

Watch the New Trailer for Flypaper: Heist's Anatomy

Sundance entry Flypaper combines a bunch of people and things we like: Patrick Dempsey, bank heists, the writers of The Hangover, Jeffrey Tambor, one-liners, Rob Huebel, Ashley Judd, a director of The Lion King, and 'splosions. Seems like a cohesive, yet unexpected marriage of talents. In the trailer from the film -- which premieres on demand July 15 before hitting theaters Aug. 19 -- we watch a robbery unfold and an unexpected camaraderie arise. I'm already calling Dempsey's character McStealy.

Does This Twisted Skin That I Live In Teaser Promise Pedro Almodóvar's Most Depraved Project Yet?

Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar has called his upcoming thriller The Skin That I Live In "a horror story without screams or frights," and that is pretty much what the movie looks like according to a creepy French teaser trailer. Well, a "horror story without screams or frights," but with subplots involving Antonio Banderas and synthetic skin, terrorized prisoners being hosed down in a cellar and masked, knife-wielding ninjas.

Watch James Franco Start an Ape-ocalypse in International Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

You know what gets Movieline excited about Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Hearing James Franco talk all movie scientist-y while dramatic music underscores footage of a CGI ape defending John Lithgow's honor on a suburban street corner. With that in mind apparently, Twentieth Century Fox has customized the international trailer for Rupert Wyatt's Planet of the Apes reboot.

Conan the Barbarian Red Band Trailer: True Blood

The new trailer for Conan the Barbarian, which stars Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan, and Stephen Lang, is probably the reddest of "red band" clips I've ever seen. In the loud, fiery trailer, we see impaled heads, decimated torsos, and general blood splatter. Fun! But remember, this is serious: Robert Rodriguez's reported remake of the important film Red Sonja hangs in the balance.

Watch Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, and Jon Favreau Explain the Philosophy of Cowboys & Aliens

So far, Cowboys & Aliens seems like a broad parody in the vein of absurd books like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Twilight, but director Jon Favreau and producers Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard shed light on its rational intentions in a new featurette. Spoiler: They do not explain why super-slim Daniel Craig looks exactly like Edie Falco.
