Josh Fox, whose Oscar-nominated 2010 documentary Gasland investigated communities affected by natural gas drilling, was arrested today while attempting to film a public House hearing on hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking," according to Politico (via Indiewire). "This is a public hearing," Fox said as he was being handcuffed. "I'm within my First Amendment rights, and I'm being taken out."

TMZ reports that Kiowa Gordon, the 21-year-old actor who plays Quileute tribe member (and Jacob BFF) Embry Call in New Moon, Eclipse, and the Breaking Dawn chapters of the Twilight Saga, has been arrested in Tempe, Ariz., "for an active warrant stemming from a drug paraphernalia possession arrest in 2010" when he was busted for having a marijuana pipe and drinking a Four Loko while underage. Tsk, tsk young shapeshifter! The Wolf Pack (and fellow Mormon Stephenie Meyer, who recruited Gordon to the franchise from her own church group) should be none too pleased... [TMZ]

[UPDATE] Report: Spider-Man Star Arrested at Comic-Con

Speaking of The Lizard making a splash at Comic-Con, The Wrap reports that Amazing Spider-Man star Rhys Ifans was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in San Diego. Ifans, who portrays Dr. Curt Conners a/k/a The Lizard, was on hand among cast and filmmakers yesterday to debut footage in Hall H; apparently, the incident occurred when Ifans "shov[ed] a female security guard" and "insulted" the U.S. prior to the panel.
