Watch Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz in the Dream House Trailer: Dead Again

Daniel Craig is the sort of mensch who I'd like to believe can do wrong. Unfortunately, when you're in everything, infallibility is not an option. The new trailer for Dream House, the sepia-postered film exhibits a few contrivances that I'd expect from -- well, a by-the-book psychodrama with a September release date. But I admit, the trailer is entertaining, even if it's a note-for-note reiteration of a movie that came out almost 10 years ago to this day.

Watch the Origin of Spider-Man, Again, in First Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man

When it was announced that Sony was going forward with a reboot of the Spider-Man franchise so soon after director Sam Raimi placed his mark on Peter Parker, many eyebrows were raised at the timing. After all, Spider-Man 3 came out in 2007, a mere four summers ago -- it's not like people are clamoring for reboots of other 2007 blockbusters like Ocean's 13 or Live Free or Die Hard. (Or maybe they are?) Regardless, we're here now, and The Amazing Spider-Man is scheduled to hit theaters next summer. Does the new teaser offer anything that Raimi's Spider-Man films did not?

VIDEO: Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon Perform the 'History of Rap Part 2'

If you couldn't tell from the trailer for Friends with Benefits -- which features star Justin Timberlake singing not one, but two cheesy one-hit wonder classics ("Jump" by Kris Kross and "Closing Time" by Semisonic), the former N'Sync'er loves toying with his musical past. Couple that with the fact that the last time Timberlake appeared with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night, the pair performed "The History of Rap," and it shouldn't be a surprise that a sequel was in the offing. No "Jump," unfortunately, but there was Biz Markie. Click through to watch the video everyone will send you before lunch.

VIDEO: Everything You Wanted to Know About Wes Anderson's Royal Tenenbaums House

If you still find yourself wondering about the majestic brownstone Wes Anderson used as the setting of his 2001 film Royal Tenenbaums, you're in luck. As part of its online film travel series "Pop Pilgrims", the A.V. Club visited the New York City spot, and spoke to the movie's location scout Will Sweeney about how the house inspired Anderson's Oscar-nominated script, why it required a dramatic remodeling, and why the roof was perfect for Anderson's (short-lived) fascination with falconry.

Should James Franco Get Top Billing in Rise of the Planet of the Apes?

Since the first trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes debuted online three months ago one thing about the film stood out. Not that apes can apparently defeat an army of riot police and helicopters by merely jumping around, but that James Franco was tasked as the film's lead. "We call it the cure for Alzheimer's," he intones with a super-serious acting voice. Sounds good, believable scientist! Of course, maybe that's the trick of Rise of the Planet of the Apes; Franco is but merely impeccably tailored set dressing hiding the real star of the show: Andy Serkis.

Watch the Lady Gaga Parody 'X-Men: Born This Way': Little Mutants for Little Monsters

Somehow, Lady Gaga's uber-hyped single "Born This Way" made an impact here at Movieline. I encouraged the medium convergence, as the self-love-touting single could work as an anthem for many cinematic characters. Now, YouTube parodists have taken up that lead, mashing up Gaga's song with X-Men: First Class's mutant beginnings. You'll remember that the movie and the original song are pretty much about the same thing, anyway. The first line alone will slay you.

VIDEO: John Lasseter Grumbles at Toy Story 4 Question, But Kinda-Sorta Confirms?

Watching anyone dodge questions during a live interview is great fun, but John Lasseter elevates the thrill to a new level in a short clip from the BBC series chat show BBC Breakfast. After he calmly explained to the anchors just what it means to direct an animated film (It's like other films! More drawings though!), he fielded a question about the possibility of a Toy Story 4. He squirms, he ducks, he weaves -- and he confirms?

VIDEO: Jason Statham Gets Grittier in Trailer for Direct-to-DVD Blitz

Jason Statham's new British action thriller Blitz may go straight to DVD in the U.S., but why, girls, why? It has all of these cineplex treats: Jason Statham's stathamminess, Paddy Considine as Statham's openly gay partner, and enough grumbled quips to appease most fans of the honorable Jean-Claude Van Damme. Adapted from Ken Bruen's novel by Moon scribe Nathan Parker, Blitz goes for grit and comes up with grumbles. I think we can all respect that.
