Is Drew Barrymore to Blame for Mediocre Radiohead Album?

Drew Barrymore might be on a career roll lately -- her winning turn in Going the Distance was the best part of that film; Whip It was a fantastic directorial debut -- but is she responsible for the disappointment that is Radiohead's newest album? In the liner notes for The King of Limbs the band randomly offers a "big thank you" to Barrymore, which may have something to do with fan speculation that she let them use her Los Angeles home to record the album. Or maybe they just loved Whip It too. [NME]

New Narnia Film in Development Because of International Gross; Is The Tourist Next?

American audiences basically said it was time to put the Narnia franchise to bed, giving The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader $107.3 million against its $155 million budget. This figure was also significantly less than the gross of the last two Narnia films. But guess what? A sequel is now in development! Four-Year Dune Resurrection Plans Halted

In a great affront to Sting's impact as a thespian, Paramount spent four years planning a remake of Dune. That's over now. Rubinstein, who holds the rights to the mega-selling title. Damn it! The 1984 Dune movie is a Bad Movie We Despise, but a remake could've ended up in the Bad Movies We Love pantheon. For shame, everyone. [Deadline]
