NSFW Audio: Chris Rock Asks, 'Is Conan Not F**king Over George Lopez?'

RockSpade225.jpgFive months after Conan O'Brien was pushed out of network television and Jay Leno reclaimed the Tonight Show, Hollywood insiders are still sharing their opinions on the scandal that rocked NBC's late night airwaves. Last Friday, Late Shift author and talk show expert Bill Carter shed new light on last January's events, and today, Joan Rivers summarized her thoughts on Conan's hypocrisy. Now, thanks to the prodding of Howard Stern, you can listen to Chris Rock and David Spade's recent, R-rated take on the the Tonight Show scandal. BZZZZT. Said it once, I'll say it again: call me after Lopez spends SIXTEEN YEARS at midnight telling tired-ass Spanglish jokes really loudly, okay?

  • tc says:

I agree with them. And anyone that says Conan's move to TBS was Lopez's idea is naive as hell.

  • Jorell says:

Yeah, it was TBS' idea all the way. They wanted to really make an impact in the late night comedy circuit, and they think bringing Conan in is the way to do it. But I always felt like NBC wanted to push Conan out once they decided to bring Leno back to 11:30. Conan wasn't important to the network anymore. I do think that George Lopez is still important to TBS. To me that's the big difference between the two situations.

  • Adam says:

Conan did NOT F**k over Lopez. I know it wasn't Lopez's idea, but his ratings weren't all that great anyways. And Conan coming to TBS guaranteed Lopez an additional season that he may or may not have gotten. Besides, Conan called or was called by Lopez saying it was okay to come on board to TBS. So Conan got the okay from Lopez before accepting the job. What's the problem?
