so sorry to hear. i've watched all his movies and he will be greatlly missed. my thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.
What a shame...he died too young, but he will not be forgotten.
DITTO
Damn, that is so sad. He may have never won an Oscar, but his films were a lot of fun and defined more than one generation of pop culture (I think I might have to find my old copy of "The Outsiders" and watch it tonight).
And, really, can the summer of death just END now that we are half way through September?
So sad to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful actor & person.
The Lord has another angel to add to his flock.
I feel the same way. He's going to be missed. What a wonderful actor he was.
you know there's gotta be a good "ghost" pun in here somewhere...

The man could dance!! I have lost count the number of times I watched Dirty Dancing and I sure would have liked to have seen more of his moves in Savanna Nights! I will miss him. I have to agree with PinkyT about all the deaths this summer.
Wow ... that's just weird. I was watching Steel Dawn just two days ago.
I am so sad to read about Patrick's death. He was my first true movie star crush!! I actually wore out 2 video tapes(each) of Dirty Dancing and Ghost watching him! He will be missed 🙁
DITTO!!--to all of the above remarks
God bless his family and prayers are going out.
Okay, you want a Ghost pun? I'm sure he's now in heaven with the Father, the Son and the Holy GHOST, as he brought so much joy and entertainment to others.
This is really sad, but at least he is no longer in pain. R.I.P Patrick.
Sadddddddddddddd!!!! Such a great actor!!! Thoughts and prayers are with his family!!!
He is really going to be missed. RIP, Patrick.
Tonight I watch Road House with a tear in my eye.
Epic fail. I'd say try again but I seriously doubt you have the intellect to come up with anything better.
Hey, I bet he's having the time of his death... NOBODY PUTS JESUS IN A CORNER!
WHAT? I hope they get a crack team of detectives to figure out what happened- oh wait, hasn't he been dying since Heath Ledger died? Back when the news of celebrity deaths still constituted as news? Whatever will trash tabloids have to report on NOW?
As opposed to what, Winchester? How you usually watch it with a bottle of lotion and a box of tissue?
Apart from the pleasure you brought during your heyday, Patrick, you showed us the way to think about own on dying. Both you and Farrah Fawcett were the real deal among the glitterati of Hollywood. Thank you. Goodbye. I'm sure you have a place in whatever Heaven is, and can now only hope that your lovely wife can find solace in knowing that she spent so much good time with such a fine companion.
