From the moment Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, and Marissa Jaret Winokur sat down to discuss their new morning talk show at the TCA press junket today, I had a feeling that Chen was the most candid of the sextet.

She may have been at the TCA Press Tour this morning to promote her family-friendly new series Mike & Molly, but Katy Mixon knows a thing or two about dark comedy from playing the jilted girlfriend of a misanthropic sociopath on Eastbound & Down. How can she juggle those two extremes?

CBS's new comedy Mike and Molly isn't about weight, showrunner Chuck Lorre insisted several times throughout its TCA panel today. The previews may show Molly (Gilmore Girls alum Melissa McCarthy) on a treadmill cracking jokes like, "What do you think I'm doing right now, churning butter?" but according to Lorre, the show is about relationships. Still, that didn't stop journalists from asking a number of cringe-inducing weight questions.

Happy TCAs, everyone! It's a raucous atmosphere over here at the Beverly Hilton, where CBS kicked off the morning with a Las Vegas-themed breakfast (slot machines, showgirls, and bloody mary carafes, oh my) before CBS executive Nina Tassler revealed her master plan for gay-ifying the network and talked frankly about the $#*! Which means that if there were ever a time for Joanne Kelly (Myka) to go undercover prancing around in slinky silk dresses, THIS HAD TO BE IT. And boy did she. Like, twice. (Which is a lot in an hour, especially noting the gratuitous, approximately three-minute photo shoot.) But that wasn't the only thing that happened, and the gratuitousness was mitigated (albeit slightly!) by Pete cutely assuaging Myka's low self-esteem. So read on for a rundown of the artifacts in Age Before Beauty!
