Machete is supposed to be fun, right? After all, when that fake trailer for Robert Rodriguez's low budget Danny Trejo vehicle played in the middle of Grindhouse, and then that hoot of a teaser poked fun at Arizona a few months ago, I'm pretty sure we were supposed to smile, eat some stale popcorn, and get psyched. So why does the new full-length trailer play it so straight?

For a brief period during the last decade, it seemed like Woody Allen finally -- finally -- had his fill of making male actors ape his most famous mannerisms and tics in an attempt to recreate the glory years when Allen himself was able to carry a film on his slight shoulders. Some pointed to the change of venue from New York to Europe for this renaissance, and that may be true -- from Match Point to Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the Woody-fied leading men were slowly being weeded out of his oeuvre. But then Whatever Works landed -- and apparently, the rest is history. With that in mind, say hello to the international trailer for You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, which offers you two Woody Allen stand-ins for the price of one!

What's even more inevitable than another iteration of the Law & Order franchise? Another spoof movie from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the duo who've turned what really should have been three-minute Funny or Die videos into the feature-length Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, and Date Movie. Their latest is Vampires Suck (but how will I know that it's a spoof if it isn't called Vampire Movie?), and the very first joke of the trailer is directly ripped off from Twilight with Cheeseburgers, so you know we're in good hands here.

Though she had a small supporting role in the jam-packed Valentine's Day, Julia Robert hasn't had a starring role since her (actually-quite-good) bomb Duplicity. But J.Ro is back with the film adaptation of the smash book Eat, Pray, Love, and Sony has released another trailer for the likely hit. So what's on the menu for Julia's this time?

Fans of the original Let the Right One In -- of which there are many around the Internet -- were justifiably upset when they heard that Tomas Alfredson's beloved and moody adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel was being remade for American audiences with Matt Reeves (a.k.a. the guy who did Cloverfield) as the director. But the international trailer for Let Me In -- America likes short titles! -- has arrived and it confirms two things: Reeves was very, very faithful to Alfredson's original, and Kick-Ass star Chloe Moretz does, in fact, kick ass.

Say what you will about Paranormal Activity, but that film had one of the marketing materials of any film in the last few years: An expertly cut trailer that made audiences simultaneously think of The Blair Witch Project and demand that they get to see what all the fuss was about. Things look to be about status quo with in the trailer for the rushed through production sequel if only because -- how can I put this? -- it still looks scary as sh*t. You'll probably want to cover your eyes right about now.

That Rango teaser a little while back? Really weird. Fortunately, the full trailer for Gore Verbinski's computer animated comedy is much more comprehensible, and in this one, voice star Johnny Depp is front and center -- well, his lizard likeness is, anyway.

There have been teasers and glimpses before now, but WB has finally released the full two-and-a-half-minute trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and it is chock full of Harry getting all up in Voldemort's face. I haven't been this excited for a movie starring Ralph Fiennes and a midget since In Bruges!

Honestly, Essential Killing sounds so insane on paper that it doesn't even need a trailer to compel your viewing. "The film follows the story of Mohammed, who is captured by the US military in Afghanistan and transported to a secret military black site," explain the preliminary production notes. "When the army convoy he is riding in plummets off a steep hill, Mohammed finds himself suddenly free and on the run behind enemy lines. A hostile, snow-blanketed forest, gradually reveals to be somewhere in the wilds of Eastern Europe. Relentlessly pursued by the military, Mohammed must constantly confront the need to kill in order to survive." Oh, and it's directed by the Polish great Jerzy Skolimowski. And Vincent Gallo plays Mohammed. Click through for a look.

Hey, remember that striking poster for David Fincher's Facebook origin story The Social Network? Well, the first teaser trailer is finally out, and instead of featuring Fincher's trademark visual wizardry, all it has to offer are dialogue excerpts read while the poster slowly comes into view. Who says David Fincher is fiscally irresponsible? It ain't much, but we've got it for you after the jump:

Confession: The original Meet the Parents is still one of the funniest mainstream studio comedies to come around in the last 10 years. And the sequel -- well, it was a sequel: Bigger -- Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman, come on down! -- louder and in need of a cut. So what to make of film three in this unlikely billion dollar franchise? That depends on your tolerance for Viagra jokes.

This is kind of spellbinding: A filmmaker in Indonesia has co-opted Barack Obama's rough youthful stopover in that country as a launching pad for ripping off The Karate Kid. But with boxing gloves. And as a new international trailer suggests, the movie -- Little Obama -- is just as head-exploding as it sounds.

There are a number of reasons why the new trailer for Red -- about a retired CIA agent who calls his old team back together to stop an assassin -- looks derivatively boring, not the least of which being: Didn't Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman already make this movie? It was called Lucky Number Slevin, and it stunk of warmed over Tarantinoisms and madcap violence. Not even wild horses could drag me -- wait, is that Helen Mirren firing a massive machine gun at a moving car? One second, let me click over and pre-order tickets.

I really can't wait to see how a certain right-wing movie blog deals with this one -- who's smearable, who are the easy ideological targets in The Tillman Story. The trailer for the acclaimed Sundance alumnus has made its way online, offering moviegoers' first glimpse at the riveting, devastating expose about the cover-up surrounding the death of football player-turned-soldier Pat Tillman.

Despite a litany of bad buzz, there were always two reasons to remain hopeful about The Green Hornet: Seth Rogen is -- for all intents and purposes -- very funny, and Michel Gondry is a genius. Like a legitimate genius. And so the preconceived notions that The Green Hornet has to be terrible -- which in large part derived from nothing more than the change of a date on the calendar -- get left behind within 30 seconds of watching the new trailer. Remember who you're dealing with here!
