London Boulevard, the directorial debut from Oscar-winning screenwriter William Monahan, may have been sitting on the shelf for the last 15 months, but that doesn't mean you should toss it asunder like some other dumped winter release. (Boulevard is scheduled to hit American cinemas in February.) That's because -- hello, it stars Colin Farrell, looks like In Bruges and comes from the dude who wrote The Departed. Where do I get advanced tickets?

This is tricky. I don't want to spend too much time writing about the trailer for The Last Circus, because its images say more than words possibly could. That's probably why there's not a single line of dialogue in the two-minute trailer. But I do want to convince you to watch it. It's one of the most visually immersive, bizarre and oddly beautiful trailers I've ever seen. And it features a clown wielding a machete.

Ever had one of those days where you're going cave diving in one of the least accessible cave systems in the world and then a tropical cyclone hits, trapping you in with flood waters and forcing you to swim deeper in hopes of finding a way out through the ocean? Yeah. The team in Sanctum is having one too. The film is inspired by true events and looks like it incorporates Executive Producer James Cameron's three favorite things: Diving, 3-D technology, and blunt, heavy-handed dialogue.

Happy Friday! What better way to herald the coming of the weekend than by watching Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart deal with the accidental death of their 4-year-old son in the trailer for Rabbit Hole! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get into the fetal position on my bed.

As Movieline's Oscar Index has been telling you for weeks, there are two reasons why Made in Dagenham will probably be talked about well into 2011: Sally Hawkins and Miranda Richardson. So does the first trailer for the Nigel Cole film make it clear that this is good, old fashioned Oscar bait?

Unknown looks exactly like the type of the absurd action/conspiracy thriller you'd expect to see during the dregs of early January. The trailer recalls Roman Polanski's Frantic , except with memory loss, explosions and a dozen more car crashes thrown into the mix. But as with Taken, Liam Neeson seems to be anchoring the absurd material with impressive commitment, and the supporting cast, including Frank Langella, Diane Kruger and January Jones, is surprisingly solid as well. That said, there's actually another reason that I'll be seeing this movie opening weekend, trailer aside.

When it comes to the theatrical release of I Love You Phillip Morris, I'm more than a little cynical. After all, this is a movie that has been sitting on the shelf for almost three years, missing release date after release date with shocking consistency. Yet barring some End of Days-like catastrophe, it appears that all systems are go for the Dec. 3 launch. Fantastic! If the recently released chaste poster didn't exactly get your juices flowing, however, perhaps this brand new Red Band trailer, stuffed with graphic gay sex and double entrende, will.

Has there been a sudden spike in real-life demonic possession that I missed? What is it about the cultural zeitgeist right now that just screams for another rip-off of The Exorcist every three months? Whatever the reason, like clockwork, The Rite will open in January. It stars "Academy Award Winner" Anthony Hopkins as some sort of exorcism professor schooling a skeptical student in the reality of devil-possession. Oh, and it's inspired by a true story. Aren't they all...

Whether or not you've seen the award-winning British drama series Shameless, you'll likely enjoy Showtime's adaptation this winter. That is, if you are a fan of serious film actors crossing over into premium cable under the skilled wing of an expert showrunner (John Wells, whose credits include ER and West Wing) working his magic on a comically dysfunctional-yet-heartwarming series.

Pixar is near unimpeachable in their greatness -- the bizarre handling of Brenda Chapman and female directors in general aside -- but what on earth are they thinking with Cars 2. Oh, right: That the first one made over $460 million worldwide and sold enough toys that the company could purchase its own mid-sized country. With that in mind, here's the teaser trailer for Cars 2, which promises cars-as-super-spies. Because...well, because a toy car that can also dress in a tuxedo means one more stocking stuffer parents will have to buy next Christmas. Click ahead to watch and then wash your brain off with the Up/Rent Is Too Damn High mash-up.

Despite the fact that Scream 3 exists, part of me is still quite excited to see what Wes Craven has done with Scream 4. OK, yes: There are signs of major trouble -- script issues, tons of casting, more script issues, Scream 3. But the first film in this initially unlikely horror franchise remains a must-watch whenever it appears on television; there's some nostalgia there, of course, but Scream is also just a really good movie. And so it isn't all that surprising to find the trailer for Scream 4 reminding everyone of that fact.

Given his excellent track record, it's not a huge surprise that Javier Bardem supposedly gives one of the best performances of the year in Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu's Biutiful. But if you had doubts, this gorgeous, very intense trailer for the film should put them to rest. Even in this two-minute time-frame, Bardem shows extraordinary range, restraint, and depth -- and he only speaks two lines of dialogue.

The midterm elections are almost upon us, marking two years since the historic vote that lifted Barack Obama to the office of the Presidency. How it's gone since then depends on whom you ask (i.e. the Obama Administration and basically anybody else), but that's not to say we can't -- or shouldn't -- reflect on that halcyon era when Americans seemed enthused, encouraged and mobilized by the prospects of political action. Or at least the kind of political action that didn't involve the sartorial accessorization of teabags. Enter Jeff Deutchman's user-generated documentary 11-4-08, the new trailer for which debuts after the jump.

The good news about the teaser trailer for Paul -- Greg Mottola's sci-fi comedy starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and the voice of Seth Rogen as the titular alien? It delivers on its fanboy baiting premise: Two buddies on the way home from Comic-Con encounter an alien and have to help him escape the U.S. government. The bad news about the teaser trailer for Paul? It delivers on its fanboy baiting premise.

The first trailer for the The Fighter looked like a Rocky clone with a better cast. Nothing too offensive there, but it was a bit of a let down to those who had waited seven years for a new film from idiosyncratic hot-head David O. Russell. This new preview on the other hand is something of a masterpiece, with style to burn and overlapping dialogue edited well enough to Robert Altman jealous. But which one is telling the truth?
