As soon as Movieline heard that Mad Men's Jared Harris would be playing Sherlock Holmes's archenemy Moriarty in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock sequel A Game of Shadows, we were intrigued. After all, how would the Sterling Cooper taskmaster stack up against the long line of actors who have played Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's criminal mastermind -- including Laurence Olivier, Orson Welles, Henry Daniell, Paul Freeman and Vincent D'Donofrio? We may not have the answer just yet but we do have the first image of Harris as the "Napoleon of Crime."

It's bad when images from a movie directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson call to mind those crudely animated Empire carpet commercials, but such is life for The Adventures of Tintin. The motion-capture spectacle (with Jamie Bell voicing the titular adventurer) arrives in theaters this Christmas, and looks about as comfortable in the uncanny valley as The Polar Express. This is not a good thing. Still, cute dog! Click through for another look at Tintin and his trusty canine companion, Snowy.

Thanks to a couple of new stills in Empire magazine, the latest pictures of Ian McKellen and Martin Freeman's sepia-hued prestige in The Hobbit are upon us! And they look... so shadowy. Like a Middle-earth version of There Will Be Blood, where Martin Freeman plays H.W. and McKellen plays a post-apocalyptic version of Daniel Plainview (whose Pringles mustache is replaced with a fibrous beard). Get a load of "young" Gandalf and a new quote from Peter Jackson.

If you follow Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt on Twitter, you know that he's been spending some time in New York this summer. That likely has to do with the fact that Pratt's wife, Anna Faris, is filming The Dictator around the five boroughs -- a role she apparently got a pretty major makeover for. The first picture of Faris on the set of the Sacha Baron Cohen comedy has arrived online, and it's shows a darker side of the House Bunny star. Click through for a look.
