Ashton Kutcher Will Be Shot Into Space

Per mogul Richard Branson: "Great news today news from our Astronaut Relations team at Virgin Galactic: our 500th future astronaut customer has just signed up! Even better news is that number 500 is Ashton Kutcher. I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself." And you don't have to pay a dime! According to reports, Kutcher covered the $200,000 cost himself. Coulda (shoulda?) been you, Charlie Sheen! [Virgin]

I wonder if Branson personally calls all "future astronaut customers", or only the famous ones he can milk some column inches out of.

Alas, they will probably let him come back.

    Will it be a one-way trip? 🙂

Kutcher thought he was signing up for a Spaceballs sequel.

    • My favorite part of SPACEBALLS is the diner/Aliens sketch.
It'd be too much to ask that some element of "Check, please" would show up in PROMETHEUS. Mog. "I'm my own best friend."

You know, maybe this whole space flight thing for Kutcher
is about him getting Punk'd by Branson. I have more respect for the promoter thinking of it that way.
