Wow! An Oscars that didn't make want gouge my eyes out. Big props to...Meryl's pitch perfect speech...Jim Rash and his "Jolieing"...Chris Rock...Emma Stone...Baron Cohen...and a show that, well, I just can't find a whole lot to bitch about. What?!
Oh yeah...no Apes for best FX? Fail!
The ceremony was a slog; cutting the speeches shorter every year while choking the procedings with needless montages. But Jim Rash was the gem of the night. That was priceless, and in that moment no less.
So...I went to the beach this weekend, and despite the presence of now abundant (sigh) satellite teevee, I didn't watch the Oscarcast, just sort of rode my bycycle around town and went back and forth between the pool and the beach (water was cold yo). My question is, Jen, did Otis enjoy himself?
Otis wore black tie for the big night but tired of the show halfway through and napped until The Artist's big win. And then...

Wicked. Love it. That's one cool cat. I've briefly scanned the headlines about this year's Oscarcast, but decided to just stick with Otis' reaction shot and dispense with the rest. That'll do for me.
People can complain because The Artist winning or because Streep ruined their Oscar pool all they want, but this is one of the greatest Oscars on record because Dean Pelton, the guy from Beerfest, and one of the Flight of the Conchords are now Academy Award winners!
