Love ignites promise
Heat rises, the weak get stung
Do not play with fire
Peeta's in the mud.
He needs to remove his pants.
Now he's in the buff.
A four note whistle,
It's a symbol, a warning.
The signal of Rue.
Berries to our lips
Nightlock, we prepare for death
Trumpets sound, we live
Capital Downfall
Future repeating the past
Down falls Coin instead
a salute to those who die
Three fingers raised high
in silence we stand
whoops
switch first and second lines
Mockingjay on fire
Kill you, leave, remember you
All I want is stew.
Food, food, tempting food
Peeta's hot buns or Gale's dead bunnies
Which dish shall I love?
Knots for my sick mind,
sex for Capitol's secrets,
my love for Annie.
Tey're coming for me,
Entertainment from my blood,
Only one comes out.
The boy with the bread
His precious life in my hands
Must defy the odds
Oh, boy with the bread
Ignored but not forgotten
Your love saved us both
I am on fire
Can't pay debts to them all
And that burns me out
The boy with the bread.
Peeta Mellark, yes
His bread gave me hope; so I...
No! Why him? Not him!!
My father told me
As long as I find myself
I will never starve
Katniss owes her life,
To save him, she must be dead,
The Boy with the bread
NO! Take me instead,
"Don't let them starve, Gale! You can't!"
"I won't! I love you!"
Don't give him the blame,
It's my fault I engulf you,
Everything's in flames
Peeta cradles me,
his sparkling blue eyes look down,
and he kisses me.
The Girl on Fire
Holds the great Mockingjay pin
As the sign for hope
“You better run now”
Thresh tells me and I obey
For he has saved me.
Twenty-four of us
One shall win while the others
Shall die in despair
Haymitch is toasted;
The Capitol's rules in flames.
Katniss strikes again!
I watch them hurt him
I'm forced to watch but can't help
My heavy heart breaks
