Reverie whispers,
The dream to prevail for Prim,
And the chance at love.
That boy with the bread,
I love him, real or not real,
Real. I'll stay with him always.
Fire destroys love,
Bread nourishes heart and soul,
Peeta is the One.
The boy with the bread,
compassionate and loving,
I hate him the most.
Arrows pierce the flesh
Protecting my family
The Mockingjay cries
I cry for the lost
These souls that never find rest
Death, this game we play
The child in the trees
singing melodies on high
now silent. for shame
Struggle to Survive,
The Capitol Mocking Me,
BUT I’M MOCKINGJAY
The games don't own me
I promised Prim I would win
With Peeta, I shall
Sorry for reposting again, but I believe I made a slight grammar mistake that I'm fixing in this:
Hunger Games tributes
Their blood splatters as they fight
Not me, not tonight
Can't let this happen
I volunteer as tribute
Prim is safe again
Hunt, paint, gather, strength
Him and I will overcome
Watch us beat the odds
Absent affections
Survive amongst Snow, coal, odds
Mockingjay prevails
I submitted this earlier, but I wanted to change victory to prevails to make the syllables work.
Happy Hunger Games
And may the odds be ever
In your favor, Gale.
Peeta grows on me
As I reread Hunger Games
But don't tell Bestie
Bella Swan? No way!
Katniss can defend herself.
Team Don't Need A Man!
Destroy everyone else
in order to survive
or else
you will not be alive
It's a struggle
for sure
but the adventure
is what will assure
Katniss, I knead you
I bread your pardon Peeta?
I said I loaf You
Oh, just close your eyes
come morning light you and I
will be safe and sound
The girl on fire
falling for that caring guy,
they boy with the bread
Rue, and her young face
remind me of my dear prim
please stay, be okay
You could never tell,
but finnick from district four
loves a a mad girl, Annie
They echo my sound,
in those sweet,clear, high-pitched notes
and then I am home
Waking up some times,
screaming for him to just run,
I wish he was here
Prim, keep your head high,
I'll be back to protect you.
Your strength will save us.
avoxs revolt
mouths open wide silent screams
katniss fire siren
Choose Peeta or Gale?
Cakes; squirrel meat--pick your trail?
Lost; confused; big fail.
Rise into the area
All of the eyes are on me
5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
mockingjays soaring
a thousand cries sun darkens
red rain on panem
Stares from crowd, whispers,
I hold my head up to say,
"I will volunteer"
Murmurs turn to tears,
I keep my head up and walk
To see my sister.
Tears, hugs, a promise:
"I will try my best to win"
Try I shall. For them.
Lamb stew down my chin
Drip-dribbles and runs - Hungry!
Now we're for slaughter.

Steady, aim, kill shot, repeat
