They took Rue and Prim,
For this I knew I must win.
The baker and me.
Love for another
These games will start a new time
The girl on fire
Life was so simple
Change was inevitable
Now to choose one love
They’ll never own me.
I’ll fight to rebel, survive,
For the bakers son.
In love with two boys.
I defy the capitol,
Fighting to survive.
Is it real love
The capitol I defied
Representing change
They think they can control us
but with hushed whispers
the mockingjay will open its wings and fly.
The boy with the bread,
Who I’ll never stop owing,
saved my life again.
Absent affections
Survive amongst Snow, coal, odds
Mockingjay victory
Sacrifice is key
In a world of death and hate
Love means victory
I blaze a beacon
A mocking hope masked by birds
Three fingers, kiss, raise.
I hear the four notes
Next I hear a child's scream
Rue I am coming
Their eyes burn through me,
Fire incinerates my flesh,
I will not succumb.
Katniss on fire
Berries defy at the games
Will Snow be falling?
I stand paralyzed
as my sister's name is picked
I must volunteer
Like beating twenty three
Haikus are quite difficult
Only one will survive
FOR PRIM I MUST WIN
AND FOR ALL FROM DISTRICT TWELVE
LET THE GAMES BEGIN
Though covered by Snow
With the speed of an arrow
The mockingjay flies
My song was four notes,
But it's already too late.
Katniss, sing to me.
Drought Entangles Me
Tracker Jackers Posion Me
I live on and win
One percents enslave.
Twelve districts hunger to fight.
Katniss will lead them?
Peeta short, Gale tall.
Which to love, which to just use?
If I live, I'll choose.
When they called Prim's name
I heard it, and died inside.
I will volunteer.
I did love my life
Until they ruined it all.
I fight for my life.
As District Twelve waits
A precious name is announced
And I cry out, "Me!"
Snow hunts the song bird,
Frosting my heart in ashes.
When will it break me?
