The Jason Sudeikis 2011 Charm Offensive Continues With Trailer for A Good Old Fashioned Orgy

Move over, ubiquitous comedy presence Jason Bateman! When A Good Old Fashioned Orgy is released over Labor Day weekend in September it will be the third Jason Sudeikis film to hit theaters since February (Hall Pass and Horrible Bosses if you've got short term memory loss) against only two for Bateman (Bosses and The Change-Up). Try harder, Bates! Is the scandalously titled late-summer sex comedy the best of Sudeikis' comedy threesome?

Well, it's certainly better than Hall Pass. Having caught A Good Old Fashioned Orgy at the Tribeca Film Festival in the spring, yours truly can confirm the film is not nearly as much of a sex romp as the title would imply; though it does feature copious amounts of R-rated fun, there is also a surprising amount of heart. Consider Orgy like The Big Chill, with body fluids replacing Procol Harum.

Sudeikis, Tyler Labine, Leslie Bibb, Will Forte, Lake Bell, Nick Kroll, Lindsay Sloane, Martin Starr and Lucy Punch make up what is a comedy nerd's dream cast. A Good Old Fashioned Orgy bangs into theaters on Sept. 2.

VERDICT: Get some.
