First Look at Red Skull in Captain America Confirms Red Skull
When the first trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger debuted during the Super Bowl last month, Movieline HQ was buzzing with the blink-and-you-missed-him glimpse at Hugo Weaving-as-Red Skull. That skull! It was so... red. Now, courtesy of EW, comes the first official look at the villainous Nazi supersoldier -- no screencapping necessary! So, how does he look?
Still very red. Though, to be fair, it's nice that Weaving's Red Skull get-up appears to be of the make-up variety, and not CGI. Practical effects, filmmakers: it's still the way of the future.

I thought for sure Red Skull would end up being monumentally stupid, visually speaking, in any film adaptation but Hugo Weaving is looking pretty badass right there.
Talk about bad timing, if the movie started filming just a month from now they could have cast Charlie Sheen and saved money on makeup.
Yes I just made a lame Charlie Sheen joke.
I have to second that!
Thirded.
I think this makeup may actually be a combination of practical and nose-removing digital effcts work, like they did with Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort. Which makes me wonder why he's still got ears, though.
