Tom Bergeron Plays My Favorite Scene with Movieline

bergeron225.jpgLast week we talked to Dancing with the Stars's dignified emcee, the dependable Tom Bergeron, and quizzed him on Bristol Palin's doubters, arguing with judges, and the fun of live TV. But before we tied up our interview, we asked him to play Moveline's game for cinephiles, My Favorite Scene, and he happily identified his favorite film scene of all-time. As expected, Bergeron's choice was as whimsical and droll as he is. Watch the clip after the jump.

"The first one that came to mind, and it's one of my favorite movies just because of the great ensemble and interplay of plot lines, was Hugh Grant in Love Actually," Bergeron told Movieline. "He's just dressed down Billy Bob Thornton who was sort of the Bush stand-in, the American president. It's late at night, and they're playing this song in honor of the prime minister, because the people of England are thrilled that he stood up against the bully American. And Hugh Grant goes dancing around 10 Downing Street, and his assistant finds him and he just kind of withers."

What does Tom love most about the Love Actually scene in particular? "It's just a wonderful, wonderful scene of the joy we sometimes let loose in private but would never display in public." Dance around your apartment, then watch this scene below.
