AMC Declines to Renew Rubicon for Season Two
It looks like AMC needed more than 5 reasons to renew Rubicon. The network announced moments ago that they will not bring back the conspiratorial series for a second season. Said AMC in a statement, "This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a talented, dedicated team." You'll recall that the premiere of Rubicon was the highest rated original series start in AMC history, a number which was topped just last month by The Walking Dead.

RIP, _Rubicon_. I will miss you.
Sigh.
I was really into this show. Now we'll never know.
Damn. It was a good show.
Biggest frickin' mistake, AMC. Big. Frickin'. Mistake.
Bummer! I wanted to know what was going to happen to Trucksten Spangler. Was he going to commit suicide ? or did his associates put out a hit on him? And, we can't forget about poor Katherine. Was she really killed or did she just collapes due to the injection?...we need to know more. Inquiring minds want to know.
Just my luck. Every show I like gets cancelled. I wonder what the chances are that another network will pick it up?
This is really sad. After being so courageous with all their programming, they drop the ball on would could have potentially become their greatest show (and I say that as a huge fan of both Mad Men and Breaking Bad). Just because they so quickly renewed Walking Dead (which is good, but still has to prove that it's lasting qualities), doesn't mean they should have disposed of RUBICON right away. So, I hope there are takers out there. TNT? FX? SHOWTIME? Anyone?
Hmmm...probably not. If it didn't find an audience on AMC right before Mad Men, it won't find one some where else.
I weep the bitter hot tears. Rubicon was just too good for this world (thoughtful, dimly lit, smart dialogue). I'll miss Kale most of all...
See ya, wouldn't want to be ya! This show was slower than molasses in Antarctica. I stopped watching halfway through so I gotta ask... did SOMETHING ever happen? Cuz nothing did when I was watching. Now AMC can pour that money into a show as good as their remaining trifecta of Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Walking Dead.
Rubicon was one of the best shows on TV. I'm not happy about this decision.
Please rethink this! Rubicon (My favorite show!!!) was never properly advertised --- even some Mad Men viewers did not know of it! It was the most INTERESTING show on TV, and the characters were great. I am SO disappointed to have just heard you have not renewed it yet. THERE IS STILL TIME! Get working, please
Everyone overlooks that one of the main reasons this was one of the top rated premiers of all time on AMC was because it was right after Breaking Bad. The TV guide all showed another hour of BB, but they showed Rubicon instead. I know AMC took a great bit of flack over that, and many of the BB fans boycotted Rubicon as a result. Sounds silly, but the BB boards blew up after they did that. So blame AMC for their lack of planning and sense that lead to this show's cancellation....
