VIDEO: Who Wants to See George Lucas's Animated Likeness Go on a Shooting Spree?

Upon returning to work Monday morning, I typically find the Movieline mailbag bulging with goodies and not-so-goodies that have accrued over the weekend. And then there are curios like... this, a preview of the next Clone Wars episode that features a character loosely based on George Lucas blowing the hell out of a bar where his kidnapped family appears.

Lucas previously played Chairman Papanoida in a live-action cameo in Star Wars Episode III: Attack of the Clones, but now, in a story line featuring the Chairman as a gun-wielding, thug-vanquishing action hero kicking ass and taking names in the "Coruscant underground." His kids Amanda, Katie and Jett also make their "debuts," though none of their actual voices.

"His character is very focused on finding and protecting his kids; it's a desperate situation, and he steps up," said the series' supervising director Dave Filoni in a statement. "It's a fun episode with a lot of action - and it's unique, in that our normal heroes give up the spotlight while Papanoida takes matters into his own hands. This was a surreal episode to produce, since the guy on screen was sitting right next to me while we were making it."

I really don't have anything more to say except that Barbara Eden called and she wants Jeannie's headwear back. Oh, and the full episode airs Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. on the Cartoon Network.
