Hulk Smash!...In Polka-Dotted Motion Capture Suit

hulk_500.jpgMark Ruffalo is an exciting and nuanced actor, capable of plumbing the depths of a character with the smallest of gestures, from a sardonically lifted eyebrow to a barely perceptible shrug. And now thanks to the magic of motion-capture suits we can see every little picayune twitch when Ruffalo plays the Hulk in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Speaking with Vulture, Ruffalo says "I'm really excited. No one's ever played the Hulk exactly, they've always done CGI. They're going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I'll actually play the Hulk. That'll be fun."

But when he's not f*cking sh*t up in stretchy purple pants, Ruffalo will be taking inspiration from Bill Bixby's turn as Bruce Banner, "He was an everyman in it. He's always on the run and trying to find love. It's really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and f*cks everything up."

Sounds great except for one niggling detail: no one's ever played the Hulk, Mark? Really? I think Lou Ferringo might want to have a word with you...
