· If you squint, this casting almost works. Billy Crudup revealed on Fox Business Network that he's playing treasury secretary Tim Geithner in Too Big to Fail. Crudup joins William Hurt, who was previously cast as Henry Paulson, in the Curtis Hanson-directed HBO movie based on the book by Andrew Ross Sorkin. [Daily Intel]

· Even television shows with the power and might of Steven Spielberg behind them can run into trouble. Terra Nova, the Spielberg-produced time traveling dinosaur series coming to Fox next year, has lost executive producer David Fury because of the dreaded "creative differences." Brannon Braga (24), will now be the drama's sole writing executive producer. [Deadline]

· But wait, there's some good Terra Nova news too! Stephen Lang (Avatar) is in negotiations to co-star as the leader of the Terra Nova settlement. [Deadline]

· In non-Terra Nova news: ABC has picked a new comedy from Hot I Met Your Mother writer/producers Kourtney Kang and Joe Kelly about a couple dealing with life before and after having kids. Predict -- wait for it -- able. [Deadline]

· You don't care, but: A&E has picked up The Glades for a second season. [Sun-Sentinel]

· I'm not sure how this is possible, but it looks like 11.4 million people tuned in to watch the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. For reference, that means you have a better chance of running into someone on the street who watched the VMAs than who watched the Emmys. [Variety]
