Lou Reed Drives Susan Boyle Out of America, America's Got Talent
Susan Boyle haters can thank Lou Reed this morning for causing the Britain's Got Talent sensation to flee the states. TMZ reports that Boyle flew into Los Angeles yesterday to sing "Perfect Day" on America's Got Talent but the performance was 86-ed at the last minute when Velvet Underground lead singer Lou Reed refused to give her permission to perform the song because he "is not a fan." Upon learning the news, Boyle promptly fled the set in tears, returned to LAX and hopped on a plane back to London. [TMZ]

Thank you, Lou Reed. While you're at it, is there any chance of getting you to stop this Ke$ha concert from happening next week, too?
I'd really appreciate it.
Just when I thought I couldn't love that cranky old dude any more.... Susan Boyle singing The Velvet Underground would, I am pretty sure, be one of the signs of the end of days.
Forgot to add... has anyone out there ever seen the (pretty bad) movie "Get Crazy"? Bizarre yet awesome cameo by Reed.
Never plan on using something by a noted curmudgeon.
Crying over Lou Reed's disapproval is overreacting; he's not worth the trouble (on the other hand, he DID let Duran Duran redo it).
Lou Reed is a legend. He could spit on the Queen of England and I'd be cool with it.
Awesome, Lady Gaga won eight VMA prizes Sunday night! I am really proud of her achievements and I like the Born This Way piece Lady GaGa sang too!
I recently bought Susan Boyle's album and I can honestly say I like it. She is a star!
