TV Bites: Another Day, Another CBS Project For Julie Chen

· 'Tis the season for developing daytime talk pilots. Yesterday, ABC revealed that it was designing a pilot for Tori Spelling and today, CBS insiders have confirmed that the Tiffany network is working on an A.M. panel chat show for Julie Chen. Being described as direct competition for The View, Chen's program would be geared towards mothers and include Sara Gilbert (Roseanne) as a co-panelist and executive producer. Chen, a CBS anchor and the host of the network's reality competition series Big Brother, had her first child with husband and CBS chief Les Moonves in September. [NYP]

· AMC has found a lead actress for its drama pilot The Killing. Big Love's Mireille Enos will play a lead homicide detective who investigates the murder of a young girl in Seattle. [Deadline]

· The Cartoon Network will breathe new life into Looney Tunes by moving Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to the suburbs. [THR]

· Fox has decided against adapting the U.K.'s Doctor Who spinoff Torchwood. [THR]

· Live with Regis and Kelly has booked some A-list guests for its next two weeks including David Letterman, Robert Downey Jr., Betty White, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Selleck and Russell Crowe. [NYP]
