What's On: Top Model Meets The City
It is shaping up to be an exciting night for television. In spite of death threats by radical Muslims, South Park is still scheduled to air the second part of its Muhammad double-header. Meanwhile Mariska Hargitay will get punched in the face on tonight's slaughterhouse-themed episode of Law & Order: SVU. Other options for your refined viewing tastes, including Whitney Port's trip to the Top Model hideaway, after the jump.
America's Next Top Model [8 PM, CW]
With only six days until MTV premieres its second season of The City, Whitney Port stops by the CW tonight to help the remaining seven models prep for their runway challenge. Afterward, the contestants face off in a "big hair" photo shoot to see who goes down under next week.
American Idol: Idol Gives Back 2010 [8 PM, Fox]
Ryan Seacrest hosts the third annual fundraiser from the American Idol stage in LA while Queen Latifah holds court simultaneously from the Pasedena Civic Auditorium. Special guests appearing to benefit the charities (Feeding America, Malaria No More, the American branch of Save the Children and the United Nations Foundation) include Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, the Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox, Jeff Beck and Elton John.
Accidentally on Purpose [8:30 PM, CBS]
Try to enjoy tonight's season closer of the Jenna Elfman sitcom because it could be the last episode ever produced, depending on whether or not the Tiffany network decides to order another season. The excitement continues from last week's cliffhanger with Billie still in labor, after faking it initially to get out of a speeding ticket. Meanwhile, Zack (Jon Foster) is taken into police station after the officer realizes that he lied.
Pan's Labyrinth [8 PM, Sundance]
If ever a film deserved the qualifier "phantasmagorical," this would be it. Guillermo del Toro's war-set, fantastical film about a girl in fascist Spain who escapes her surroundings via flights of fancy earned Academy Awards in makeup, cinematography, and art direction. This is the ultimate movie for whimsical people with passionate interests in bloody massacres.
