Hollywood Ink: Zac Efron, Drug Runner

· Two years ago, Zac Efron was a family-friendly tween idol starring in High School Musical 3. Today, in a bid to banish that smiley, Noxzema'd mug forever, Efron has signed on to play a drug runner moving cocaine in a remake of the amazingly titled Swedish film Snabba Cash, which was the subject of a fierce bidding war won by Warner Bros. These are the things you can do once Taylor Lautner's taken some of the heat off you. [THR]

Viola Davis gets a little Help, Pirates of the Caribbean channels Splash, and more Hollywood Ink after the jump.

· Viola Davis raised her profile considerably when she played the maid in Far From Heaven, and now she'll return to those working-class roots in The Help, adapted from Kathryn Stockett's best-selling novel. · French actress Astrid Bergès-Frisbey has been cast in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as Syrena, a "beautiful and alluring young mermaid." Here's a pro tip, Astrid: be sure to use the bathroom before they attach your tail in the morning. [Coming Soon]

· Congratulations, Tom Elkins: you edited 2009's A Haunting in Connecticut, and now you get to direct the sequel, A Haunting in Georgia. It's like the horror version of Sufjan Stevens's fifty-states project or something! [THR]
