Attack of the Clones Eviscerated by Famous Phantom Menace Hater

attackclones.jpg

We've introduced you before to Mike of Milwaukee, the internet critic that made something that could have been awful -- a 7-part, 70-minute video series on the failings of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace -- into something like a cathartic work of art. Naturally, it was only matter of time before Mike turned his knives on Attack of the Clones, and if you can skip past the unnecessary live-action interludes that allude to Mike's propensity to chop up women (stick to what works, Mike!), it's another keeper. Are we the only ones who picture Barth from You Can't Do That On Television when listening to these? [via Hollywood Elsewhere]

All nine parts are after the jump:

Wow I couldn't stop watching spite the voice

  • Chazwozzer says:

I actually love his creepy character.

  • Bob says:

I got through 5 parts; it was very good. I would have preferred it in a single video file, though, and then I could have watched it with my own video player on my TV.

  • Bib Fortuna says:

It sounds more like a drunken Larry Flynt

  • mary says:

he sounds like kevin from the office haha.

  • Joe Stevens says:

The live action parts are absolutly neccesary, they keep it from turning into a yet another geek rant about a sci fi movie. If he didn't have those I don't think anyone would be able to get through the whole thing unless you were really into Star Wars.

  • Wolf says:

"...and if you can skip past the unnecessary live-action interludes that allude to Mike’s propensity to chop up women (stick to what works, Mike!)"
He did that in the first set of videos as well.
Also, it wasn't 10 parts it was 7 10minute episodes.
Don't meant to sound like a jerk, just pointing that out, and thanks for the heads up on the new content.

  • Jon Solo says:

Actually, I keep thinking of Kissel from the Jerky Boys.

  • Nikki says:

If this thing is anything like the other one, it is well worth the time it takes to watch the whole thing. I hope this one continues the "critic as a serial killer" subplot.

  • Leia says:

He keeps calling Jango Fett "Boba"...! Jango= the elder Fett! Boba = the son who becomes the bounty hunter in episodes V & VI !

  • t says:

the jango/boba mixup seems intentional - see also "padame" "amidalan" "amidama" "doko"

  • LesBois says:

I keep hearing a little bit of Strong Bad in his voice. Just me, maybe.

  • Naugy says:

Yeah...that was the missing ingredient that would make the film lucid.

  • Sean McAndrew says:

    Lol on part 2.
"Come to any conclusions yet?... PALPATINE IS BEHIND IT ALL."
Seriously I realized that in the first movie, which kind of ruined the whole prequel in the first place.

  • aggh!Tea! says:

First off.... never have I enjoyed a film review so much, the interspersed scenes are a work of genius. They really hold the whole thing together and make it feel like your watching any episode of Star Wars when you've smoked too much... Nice!
Secondly (and Troll like) @ Sean McAndrew - you're obviously the next Sherlock Holmes, and I salute you! Ian McDiarmid is the emperor from A New Hope onwards.... go figure...

  • Matt says:

"...and if you can skip past the unnecessary live-action interludes that allude to Mike’s propensity to chop up women (stick to what works, Mike!), it’s another keeper."
He's satirizing the nerd as the quiet, violent creep in the basement that has the time and Asberger's-level intensity to focus and eviscerate shitty science fiction movies (not saying all SF is bad).
I would agree that the subplot is not necessary, but there's no reason he should discontinue it because it does, in fact, work.

  • Penn says:

    yer an idiot...

  • ian kai says:

  • Soren says:

    YES.
    Very yes.
good call bro, knock down a couple cold ones for me

  • Cartoon Network has the Clone Wars TV show, but he didn't use any clips or references to it. Also, the removal of only Part 1 is absurd in my eyes. What have they accomplished?

  • I've only watched the first segment so far and I'm completely mesmerized. Yes, I'm going to spend an hour and a half watching this whole thing.

  • Jern says:

This hasn't hit Digg yet? It seemed like half of the internet flocked to his review Saturday nigh
