Sarah Palin Will Be a Reality Star in Three...Two...

After pitching her reality show all around town for weeks now, THR is reporting that Sarah Palin has finally found a company willing to fork over $1 million to $1.5 million for the Mark Burnett-produced series. The preliminary announcement arrives after A&E dropped out of negotiations for the show, tentatively titled Sarah Palin's Alaska, last night.

The big winner is Discovery Communications, who might make the official announcement at the company's official upfront in New York on April 8, where Palin could be in attendance.

The network is said to have agreed to pay more than $1 million per installment of the series which will feature the former Alaskan governor showing viewers around her home state. It is still uncertain where Palin's series will fall underneath the Discovery umbrella -- with TLC, Animal Planet, Discovery, Planet Green, or the Oprah Winfrey Network among the possible homes.

Maybe we'll be lucky, and the show will be like Grizzly Man.

  • Karen says:

    *Mark* Burnett, right?

  • Robert says:

I wonder if the illegal wolf slaughters from airplanes will be part of the first show.
Once again proof that politicians can buy votes in many different ways. Just think what $1M could do towards healthcare in this country. Just goes to show where Americas priorities lie.

I hope she covers the places where the concentration camps will be built to house all of us liberal bloggers and commenters when she gets elected.
At least we'll know what a teabagging party is really all about, so we'll be able to keep ourselves warm during the Alaskan winter.
