Your First Look at the Second Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Instead of painting buildings in Jay Leno's likeness and polluting small-town movie theaters with popcorn tubs emblazoned with the comedian's mug, NBC is tiptoeing towards its Jay Leno premiere this time around. Last night, during the network's record-breaking Winter Olympics coverage, NBC premiered a single Tonight Show spot, a cheeky reference to its hundred-million dollar Jay Leno Show campaign last summer.
One of the many Jay Leno Show promos last summer featured the host in a blue sports car decorated with the number 10, signifying his new primetime home, whipping down the PCH. In NBC's attempt to give Leno an understated advertisement for his return to the Tonight Show, the new promo has the host speeding down the PCH in the same sports car, with the 10 falling off, revealing an 11:35 underneath it. As this happens, Leno flashes the camera a sheepish grin and the Beatles lyrics play him out to, "Get back to where you once belonged."

DO NOT WANT.
Seconded.
Next up: NBC will advertise Wall Street bonus-receiving muckitymucks rolling around and smirking in their own cash, then being interviewed by Oprah wondering why people hate them.
I'm sorry, but if you're a fan of Leno, then you have no heart.
In fairness, there's no Beatles song celebrating jokes that were sort of funny in 1995.
Kinda wish that the car he was driving was a silver Porsche 550 Spyder.
Note that when the "10" peels off, the "11.35" underneath... is also only stuck on. What comes next, I wonder?
Not to sure how this is going to go. Has this screwed up the ratings for the Tonight Show all together? What will NBC do if the ratings are worst now then before? Catchy promo if you didn't know Jay was taking back over. Guess we'll have to see what happens next. Conan on tour?
