So Who's Up For an Adam Lambert Appearance at the Oscars?
Adam Shankman's Twitter followers, that's who. The Oscarcast producer last weekend solicited show-planning suggestions from his 48,000 devotees, sparking a torrent of feedback and burgeoning transparency that -- according to at least one report -- isn't making the Academy terribly comfortable. But with the downmarket promise wielded by solicitations like, "So weird question; would u watch the oscars with more exitement [sic] if I cast some sytycd dancers if there are musical #s," who wouldn't want to see just how far the hoi polloi can influence Hollywood's grandest show?
They're the viewers Oscar's courting, after all, tweeting back to Shankman en masse with replies like: "I will watch the Oscars no matter what, but my excitement factor will be ten-fold if you have SYTYCD alumns in the show. :)," "If Rob and Kristen present an award together, or even just Kristen since she wasn't invited (rude!) last yr, I'd 4 sure watch," and more than a few calls for a Lambert performance. The people have spoken, though good luck with that on ABC.
Either way, Shankman went unusually candid (at least for a producer) with the Oscar-development chatter: "We will C if thr R musical #s :). I h8 musical #s in shows when they dont make sense.. I'm choregraphing [sic], so the dancers will b amazing." Fine. So give the pseudo-fellatio some sort of Hurt Locker tie-in -- or better yet, see what co-hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin might have in mind for that. Magic awaits.

Two reasons why Lambert at the Oscars would be a bad idea:
1) He already caused a controversy at the AMA's so to do so again at the Oscars would be redundant and stupid.
2) If they did invite him it would be for a toned down performance and people don't want to see Lambert toned down anymore.
Now Kanye West at the Oscars would be a good choice. I would love to see him poke fun at himself and his over dramatic interrupting of winners.
I am thrilled to see Adam anytime, anywhere! I would love to hear him do Time For Miracles live or just see him as a presenter - just put him on and I will watch!!

I'm all for Adam Lambert to sing "Time for Miracles" at the Oscars. Relax, ABC! I don't think Adam will have apocalytic sex during this song.
I love Adam, loved him on AMAs and will watch ANYTHING he's appearing on. I'm all for him singing Time for Miracles on the Oscar's. It is a beautiful song that really features Adam's amazing vocals and the song was under promoted initially. A live performance would be incredible! Adam would likely do a fabulous job on the Oscars.
He does understand (said so) that he must preserve his oxygen so he can breathe while singing. He knows the antics at AMAs hurt his vocal performance. He can deliver. Please let him!
I would love to see Adam perform "Time For Miracles" at the Oscars. To appease the FCC and the fearful ones, he could dress as Joshua (as he did in the Ten Commandments) and they could handcuff him to an Oscar statue while he sings the song. Seriously, I LOVE Adam Lambert's music and performance style (although the AMA performance was a little over the top for me) and I would love to hear him sing anything! I haven't been this excited about a music artist in many, many years!
Please NO!! NO MORE ADAM LAMEBERT!! We've seen the one trick pony show, and we're not impressed. This is the freaking oscars we are talking about, where people with actual talent perform. His fans need to get a clue....he's not so great.
Adam would be great at the oscars. He isn't stupid. He wouldn't make the same mistake twice. People are willing to forgive him once. The second time, I doubt it. It's way time for ABC to forget the AMAs. Adam has huge talent ( which admittedly you didn't get to see at the AMAs). He would have a great presentation.
Adam singing "Time for Miracles" with an orchestra would be fabulous. Gets my vote.
ADAM sang TIME FOR MIRACLES on the soundtrack of the movie "2012" and he was MAGNIFICENT!! His video TIME FOR MIRACLES is MARVELOUS ... he not only sings the song but also does his OWN backup vocals and does everything FLAWLESSLY!!! HE would be a definite ASSET to the OSCARS!! Buy his album if you've never heard him sing. IT"S GREAT!!!

Absolutely have Adam Lambert on! He can sing those Rules and Regulations they have some men in suits come out and deliver, since he has the ability to make ANYTHING sound spectacular ...
People DO want to see Adam Lambert in a toned down appearance. I love him and will watch any show that man does! He's got TONS of fans who feel the way I do!
He's SUPER TALENTED, charismaic, sweet, smart, and gorgeous.
He will not be defined by one performance!

They have to invite Adam Lambert to sing, "A Time For Miracles". Really, if this doesn't happen--then they are really stupid. The kid has a voice that needs to be heard. It's beautiful. All the AMA hi-jinks are so overblown and won't be an issue.
Keeping someone like Lambert who is so talented from singing a title song from a movie would not make sense. But then there are a lot of people not making sense these days when it comes to Lambert. Such a shame.
Why should he get to sing at the Oscars? He hasn't done anything to deserve it. I don't think "Time for Miracles" is even nominated. What makes anyone think it would be sung on the Oscars? There are a lot more talented people out there than this hack.

The Oscar award should be a professional election made by a prefessional jury.
Between us....that election has been a business one for a lot of years.
If these businessmen (jury) don't understand Adam's capability to bring some color to this archaic non-relevant event, it's their rating loss.
Can't think of anyone else I'd rather see performing at the Oscars than Adam! I don't care weather he repeats the AMA performance (I thought it was a hoot!) or out of the telephone directory in his dressing gown. Either way it can only add some much needed sparkle to an otherwise (usually)boring event. And whilst you're we are on the subject, how about an interestingly choregraphed dance number by the SYTYCD dancers to one of Adam's dance numbers like Fever or Strut, for some extra flavour?
