My Sister's Keeper's Sofia Vassilieva Plays 'My Favorite Scene' with Movieline!

Sofia Vassilieva may face off against exclusively modern-day problems on the big and small screen -- like a parental lawsuit in this summer's My Sister's Keeper and a psychic mother on CBS's Medium -- but in real life she claims to be old-fashioned. The 17-year-old star put aside her A.P. U.S. History homework and talked to Movieline about her favorite film scene, one that she says reflects a long-missed era.

"You know? I'm going to be really corny. It's Tristan & Isolde, the scene in the marketplace where they're sneaking hand-holding. It's so sweet, romantic, and ancient. The loss of courtship in modern days -- like, people don't court anybody anymore. There's no beauty about it. And the sweetness and the tenderness and the way that people kind of used to court others is so beautiful, and I love themes of forbidden love and I love that can't ever be."

Did she forget to mention James Franco's capacity to massage our hearts? Because that also springs eternal.

Even tho Mr. Franco doesn't care for this wonderful movie he made, I LOVE IT!! I love the courtship of it, too! They picked 2 beautiful people to star in this! I bought it & I even love the soundtrack which LIVES in my car! Yes, "Tristan" can massage MY heart ANY day!!
