Is Bad Lieutenant Werner Herzog's Own Private Ghost Rider?

While I wouldn't call myself a fan of the unsightly, derivative new poster for Nicolas Cage and Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, let's hand it to the budget marketers at Millennium Films and First Look Studios for exploiting every last asset they have. To wit: Who's up for Ghost Rider 2? A full-size comparison of both films' posters follows the jump.

The last time Cage and Eva Mendes got together for a reimagining of a famous pop-culture property, their 2007 hit Ghost Rider harvested nearly $230 million in global box office. Obviously this isn't that, but you take what you need and leave the rest. If not for the conspicuous absence of a flaming lucky crack pipe, this would be true one-sheet gold.
