This Is The Moment

It takes an especially good-natured "judge" to perform on the same hacky talent competition show where he doles out worthless, subjective advice each week. David Hasselhoff proves he is up for the challenge by singing "Feeling Good" during tonight's America's Got Talent live results show. Granted, the Hoff doesn't have as much to lose as Whitney Houston did on GMA, but there is still a significant risk for humiliation when Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog follow his act.

America's Got Talent [8 PM, NBC]

After the Hoff exits the stage in a cloud of sweat and black leather, Kermit and Miss Piggy will duet in celebration of the Muppets' 40th anniversary. The pair appeared on AGT two years ago as props to former winner and ventriloquist Terry Fator. Other Jim Henson creations, Statler and Waldorf, will join judges Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and Hasselhoff for commentary throughout the show.

Glee [9 PM, Fox]

Fox has put a tremendous amount of advertising behind Glee, one of the network's three new programs premiering this fall. Tonight's "director's cut" of the pilot is the second part of a three-prong promotional stunt to attract as many viewers as possible to the high school song and dance series. On Friday, Fox will air the Glee pilot again, only this time with real-time Twitter messages from cast members displayed on the bottom of the television screen.

Larry King Live [9 PM, CNN]

You've seen the clip. You've read the rebuttal of the clip. Tonight enjoy the full Chris Brown interview as Larry King grills the Rihanna assailant and Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos. To garner sympathy, Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins also appears, presumably to discuss how she taught Brown about respecting women.

The Ballad of Jack and Rose [11 PM, IFC]

Before Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano teamed up for the father-son epic, There Will Be Blood, they collaborated on a complicated father-daughter love story called The Ballad of Jack and Rose. Written and directed by Rebecca Miller (daughter of Arthur Miller and wife of Day-Lewis), Dano's character threatens to disrupt the self-sustained life that Jack (Day-Lewis) and Rose (Camilla Belle) have created. Catherine Keener and Jena Malone costar.
